Why listening to rap?

Firstly, I do enjoy rap. But lately many radio stations air the rap with a 'noisy' singer. Not to blame the radio stations, it actually because of the song. Like, why do people do rapping if they have a common voice? There are lots of people in this world can do rapping with a good voice. I just can't understand of how many rappers got high popularity even though their voice are common to be found everywhere around the globe. Seriously, those rappers are making me feel less interest to the rap genre. So why listening to rap?

I listen to rap because I like it, I rap myself also. But to answer your question why rappers are popular, it might be because of their lyrics. Some really rap about the everyday thing, and others rap about all the problems in the world. I guess that is what attracts people to listen to their music

i listen to rap. but im picky with this. i enjoy foreign rap artist but not our local artists, they're super noisy and i just dont like them. i like listening to rap because i like the beat and its fun to rap along with the rapper. ^__^ i enjoy linkin park the most and i dont think there's any other band that would match them.
