Why when someone is mad at me, the first thing they do it talk badly about my child, my parenting or threaten to call CPS???

People who do this are those with no conflict-resolution skills. Instead of working out an issue, they seek to cause hurt. I consider this type of behavior emotional abuse; if these are friends, who needs enemies?

I agree. The person that is doing this to me right now, is a former co-worker, because I quit my job with no notice, which, I have admitted was wrong, but I can't take it back now! But, she is upset because SHE has to work all my hours. When, at the time I was working there, she was always complaining because she wanted MORE hours!!! You just can't please some people I guess!

They do this because they figure the surest way to get back at you is to attack a weak spot...your child. They figure it will make you miserable with CPS on you. Some people just have no class and no clue, I guess.

Yes people are sick I agree with you ! calling CPS is the 1st thing people do to get even with people. They need to mind their own business, and worry about their own kids. I think if they are low enough to say things bad about a child they need the help they are SICK !!!!!!!

I would say that the person that was mad at you was feeling like she was loosing the argument and has decided to threaten you with this just to make you listen to them and for them to feel like they are going to win the argument, it is pretty sad that they have done this, when someone threatens you with this in the middle of an argument I would ask them why they are going to ring them and see if they have an answer because often they wont!

That's just wrong. Is this person supposed to be a friend? Take heart that if you aren't doing anything wrong then CPS won't do anything to you. If possible this person needs to be cut off from you as much as possible. ie, don't call, don't go over, forget they exist! They aren't your friend.
