Which ones do you make the most than others?Do you pick the fruit/vegetables yourself or buy them in a grocery store or market?

We do some home-made vegetables preserves. Like a cucumber cut into thin circles, then put them into vinegar with sugar and crushed pepper. We love it's taste, as it's like pickles!;) We seldom buy those on grocery stores or supermarkets, because it is better if we're the one's to make our own so we can actually measure the taste that is right for us..

Hello raijin!!:)I love homemade pickles especially with alot of dill or garlic.Thats right, the ones in the stores have alittle bit too much flavor in them to perk up your lips.lol:)

If you are familiar with raddish (and it's smell!LoL), we also preserve them together with shredded carrots and chopped ginger in sweetened vinegar. We love it, especially when eaten with smoked fish!;)

I have made all sorts of preserves but don't any more because I don't eat them. Jams and jellies can wind up to be rather expensive if you buy fruit from the grocery store to make them. You'd be better off just buying the finished product.
