Tell me about one of the oldest photographs you have.
My brother has a photograph of me in long gypsy dress on the sand when I was about six. We were at this really cool air show. I remember the dress. It was red and very bohemian and I remember I really liked it.

i dont really keep many photgraphs, but those that i do keep and trasure are photographs taken together with my close friends and classmates in school, to me those are really memorable times we spent together back in our schooling days and we still keep close friendships even though we are no longer in school

I unfortunately don't have the really old pictures of me, but my mom still does.
One is from when I was about a year and a half old, dressed as a gypsy for Halloween. There's another one from about the same time of me in the hallway practicing to be a flower girl for my uncle's wedding.
Of course, my mom has baby pictures of me that are older, but the ones from when I was about a year and a half are the ones I remember better. :)

I would think so! I have some early memories but not many from before one and half. Just snippets like laying on the floor and watching my belly go up and down. Babies are so zen.

I have a photo of my maternal great grandmother in the garden back of her duplex in Suffolk, Kent. I think one of my uncle's is behind her as well as my grandmother. She was in one of those old wooden wheelchairs they had back in the late nineteen hundreds.
I also have a photo of my great uncle, I think he was a sailor, according to what my maternal grandmother told me, and a photo of my great aunt. They were picture post cards and that is how people who were not of the upper middle class could get their photos taken cheaply.

Are you talking about oldest photos in general of the family or me in particular...LOL--If it's me, I still have the one photo my father took of me a few days after I was born..If its of my family I stil have those old time glass photos...they look like something right out of the civil war period--Unfortunately I haven't a clue who they are as my grandmother and mother didn't know...but this one photo must be my great-great-great (?) grandmother...Just scanned my old photos the other night

Well, I used to have one tooken at the age of 4 with my elder sister, since it was monochrome, the quality was not that good for me to keep long enough till now.
I love the old photos but I didn't have them any more. What a shame.

I have one of me as a baby - probably a year old - and I was DARN cute. I had a sweet little dress on and a wisp of hair and big brown eyes. My sons looked like me when they were the same age.
But the one I remember is a pic of me, a skinny little twig of a 7 or 8 year old kid with an orange life jacket on. I was standing next to my parents near some water and I was NOT happy. I swam like a fish and they insisted that I wear a safety jacket even if I was near water and I hated it. We camped all the time in a tent near water and I was the only one of the kids (We went with my aunt and uncle who had 5 kids) who had to wear a stupid life jacket. My brother was older and he didn't have to and my sister was a baby and wasn't allowed near the water. So that picture brings back sweet memories because, although at the time I was mad, my parents loved me enough to care about my safety and not give in to my pouting and whining and take the life jacket off me.
(Thanks Mom and Dad!)
