Would you order take-out food from a restaurant that supports charities?

Some of our local restaurants have started a very interesting trend. They are donating a small portion of proceeds to various worthy causes. And, it's not a bad idea. I guess we all have to do our small part to help the world. It's nice to know that someone else is being helped every time I eat food.
Sometimes I feel that I'm more likely to buy food (or anything for that matter) from a company that provides money to worthy causes or charities. What do you think? Would you order from a restaurant that used part of the money earned from your purchase to help others in need?

I guess it would depend on what the charity was. If it was one my husband and I were interested in, we probably would be more likely to eat there. But otherwise, I don't know if it would change our minds about where to eat. We don't eat out very often, so we would probably still be more likely to pick where we wanted to go instead. A year or two ago when we ate out more often, it would have made more of a difference to us.
Now we donate to 4 or different charities every month anyway. Occasionally I will donate to another one or two as well. So I guess I kind of feel like I do my own part for charity, and wouldn't choose to not eat somewhere just because they didn't give money to a charity that I might not be so concerned about anyway.

That's a very good point. If you already donate in some way on a regular basis, then it might not make be a deciding factor.

From time to time, yes indeed. This really happens in my area around thanksgiving and christmas time. Its pretty neat and do make a note to purchase and to donate on top of that if they allow me to. They usually do. I probably sound like a dork for doing such a thing, but its what I want to do.
