That hasn't happend yet...I never really mind my jobs, but I haven't found one that I actually enjoy. I would love to do something with landscaping, and flowers, but no time or money for college. Plus it's super hot hear in Florida, so I don't think I could handle eight hours of hard labor either! I do agree with one of the responses though, really enjoy doing all the websites, and surveys that I get paid for. It's not really a 'job' though, because I can't live off the money I make from doing it, but still fun!

I had a friend who got a job in a florest shop and learned a lot there. She didn't have college. But she was very happy there. I sent for and got the beginning of a learn at home flower arranging course. I had to drop out due to lack of money and time. She liked her job in the flower shop, air conditioning. She didn't have to do hard labor either. Maybe you could explore other options within your interests. There are also gardening centers that hire people and sometimes they'll train. Mostly watering and repotting, but every job provides more experience.
Many job centers have books with a variety of occupations under interests that people have never thought of before. It's fun to go through them. Take care and here's wishing you that paid job that you love in the future. My friend's daughter house sits and she also does gardening for the home owner that usually includes flower garden(s) outdoors. There are all kinds of possibilites. Thank you for responding. Take care

Glad to be of service.
Speaking of service, there is a housesitting website. I think if you search for it, you can find it on the internet. It lists people who house sit and people who need house sitters. It's house sitting classified adds. It starts with "Caretakers" and I don't remember the rest of the name of it. Take care and good luck. Let me know how you do.

Thanks for all the great info!! I will have to look into something like that. I live in Florida near the water, and there are a lot of wealthy people around here...I wonder if any of hem ever look for someone to 'house sit' when they go back up north for the summer, and take care of there plants, things like that...never thought about it before you said something!! And a flower shop would be great! I did not know that they had flower arranging courses. I applied at a few shops around here years ago, but they all told me the same thing, that I needed some sort of 'experience'. A course in flower arranging would surly be a good start!

If money is not a criterion for a good job, then I would say all these time I spend on working on my websites, writing online would be the best job I have ever had. It's like my own creation and when people love them, the smile on my face could grow so big. And it's also challenging to explore different things along the way and try to test out what would be the things that people like best. I guess I just love working on my own and happy to prove that I could create something from nothing. It makes me feel great inside. But I don't earn very much *laughs*.

You sound like a very motivated internet person. This is kind of fun. Mylotting and Heliumming are more like hobbies to me. But one person's hobby is another person's job. Glad you have a good time on your websites of your own creation. I've checked out a couple. You do good work. Take care

Thanks! I think I just love to create things and see if I could do it right! Moreover, we all know sometimes office work can really be boring and it's not so fun working for other's purses!

Throughout my life I have been employed in a variety of jobs. With each one I took away a fondness for one or more parts of the job. My favorite would have to be when I was a Mastectomy fitter. Very rewarding job.

My Mother had a masectomy. I went with her when she went to be fitted. That is a very needed job now, though I wish it wasn't so needed. But people who do that job every day are very special. Thank you.

well i would have to say the best job that i ever had was being self employed and owing my own hair salon for 6 years, that was the best because i didnt have to take orders from anybody and did what i wanted to do and i was the one telling people what to do for a change, wow that felt great to be able to do that.my job requires me to cut, color, perm, highlite, double process color, relaxers, roller sets, kids cuts, inventory, cleaning, decorating, handeling and counting money, doing the bills etc.well i worked in a few salons before i had my own and i was so tired of putting up with other people crap and just wanted to have my own,so god willing i found a salon and then my good friend of mine that i worked with,i asked her to be partners and it went on from there,it was the best thing.take care.pattie

My favorite job that I have had so far was working in a boutique. The woman who owned the store was a family friend and hired me. I helped her start the store and eventually close it up.
I LOVED it! It kept me busy, interested me, and I felt like I was needed there. I basically ran the store, the owner had it for "fun."
I did everything from sales, to cleaning, to cashier and bank work, to ordering and pricing, basically everything! But I loved it!
I no longer worked there as the store closed, not the right kind of merchandise for the area it was in and I also moved.

That sounds like it was a wonderful job for you. Lots of different things to do. Busy, interested, and needed are wonderful feelings when you have a job. Too bad the store had to close. I bet you miss it. Thank you for your post, it's a good one.

I have had two best jobs... the two aircraft-related businesses Hun and I have owned. We could be flexible, take the kids when we went on the road, and set our own hours so that we could be available for other family members in case of emergencies.
A person can't help having more than a little pride when what you've built works well! But we closed the first one when I was injured the first time because he received an offer that was too good to pass up.
He left that job when HE was injured and, because he can't sit still we decided to try again in a less physical aspect of the field.
That was nearly eight years ago... two weeks ago, he did his paperwork for retirement. We will downsize the business to small repairs or close it entirely... that decision is still up in the air, because I can't see him sitting still yet... its just not his way.

Two and they were your own businesses. Wow, how cool. I wish I could get any of my interests to take off. Sounds like aircraft-related is really a good fit for the two of you. That's wonderful! Take care and let me know how retirement or sort-of works out.
