Apple Cidar Vinegar

I read recently that 4 tsp. a day will help lower blood sugar levels...is this possible?

I'm not sure, I know there are a lot of claims about apple cider vinegar out there. I'd check it out on snopes.com. They investigate claims like this along with many other urban legends.

I dont know about the vinegar howev ver i do know cinamon works cause ive tried it i get it in capsules from walmart in the vitamin aisle and i take 2 in the mornings and it has realy helped me as i am diabetic

Thank you. How do you know for positive that it does lower your blood sugar level? What is the name that you take from Walmart and also, the dosage etc.? Thanks Again! Dixie

I know cause as a diabetic I test my sugar levels several times a day and the kind i buy is called sundown it is 500mg and i take two every morning its realy helped me and it is less than $5 a bottle of 100 capsules

Thanks Again. You take 1,000 mg every morning (2 caps) do you take it before breakfast or after? Also, when you have blood/lab work done does your doctor see the positive effects? what is your blood sugar level? Dixie

Yes it has been tested and here is the results. Vinegar has passed the test. It does help to blunt the sudden rise, or spike, in blood sugar that occurs after eating a meal. It only takes 2 tablespoons of vinegar, just before a meal, to help keep your blood sugar down by 25%. Pre-diabetics levels were blunted by 50%. Add 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to a cup of water and drink before a meal. Or you can add the vinegar to a nice crisp salad. This was in the newsletter I get every month about Diabetes. Cinnamon and Blueberry Leaf Extract are also used to lower blood sugar. Cinnamon also helps reduce cholesterol.

I hadn't heard of this but I had heard that it helps in weight loss. But the smell is something else...even in tablet form. AT PEACE WITHIN ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I have heard this too. also that it is good for indigestion and arthritis My husband has taken for acid reflux and it worked better than pepcid
