When it rains it pours

Everyone has heard the saying "When it rains it pours" but when you can capture a photo like this, you'll see how very selective the pouring can be.
This pic was taken early in the morning in Port Aransas, Texas. The weather forcast was pretty gloomy with Hurricane Humberto just a little way up the coast. We were out on a fishing boat and got close enough to snap this pic of a very dark stormcloud hanging very low in the sky. As our boat drifted just a little, I was able to catch the cloud next to it pouring like a waterfall.

Thats a really cool shot!! You did good. Its wierd that it can rain soo hard in one spot but 10 feet away it is dry! Mother nature is wierd that way!

Yes, rain can be very selective. I remember my brother telling me one time about how it was raining on one side of the building where he worked but not the other.

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me, and this photo proves it. It is truly a unique and incredible picture, and you were lucky to catch it on film. You are quite the photographer! Thanks for sharing.
