Can Men Suffer with Problems with Their Nerves?

I've always been a worrier, after 36 years I guess it's a very hard habit to break but lately my nerves have been shot to pieces! I guess it's with all the excitement and mixed up emotions about moving! But for the last month or so I just can't stop eating and going to the toilet! I know it sounds weird but I'm always hungry! I don't stuff myself but I just can't to satiate my appetite! I can eat and eat and eat! I keep myself busy etc so it's not boredom but I'm also paying a lot of visits to the men's room too, and when it's two or three times in the night it becomes a nuisance! I haven't got diabetes and going to my doctor is a waste of time and I've had checks and various medicals and nothing was found - cancerous or otherwise I'm hoping it'll change once I get settled and with only 20 days to go I'm hoping it doesn't get worse! I can only put it down to nerves, but can men suffer with their nerves? Or is it (putting it delicately) just a woman's thing?

hi... maybe its just how you overcome the stress you have been experiencing.... I also have the same outlet to my stressful days.. During such days that I have to give way on my cravings with food because in my mind I believe that this is the only way I can manage the stress... However, scientifically, there are people who haVE ACTIVE METABOLISM and its in the system.... But same thing I advise you to pay a quick visit to your doctor just to be sure... good day....

Yes Sweetie it is very normal Man or Woman the other thing you might find is that you could start crying for no reason and that is relief believe me I have done it when I got divorced I cried not because I was sad but I was relieved that I of all sudden got my own Life, no more bullying, no verbal Abuse and Insults, no more of everything else So, Sweetheart it is normal Love and Hugs xx

I hope you get better by now and controlled on your nerves. Ok, this is the thing I know better, my brother is a very merveous type person and for some thing which may make him tensed and eager, he starts going to the tiolet. He gets tensed for many many reason even when we travel from one country to another, not even he, but he gets tensed for how we will do it, how we will reach an whether everything will be ok or not etc, and just do the same like you. So its not odd for you i think

Anyone can suffer from nerves. Sometmes what we are eating can be a contributor. For instance if we are lacking a vitamin or getting too much caffiene. Watching diet, excercise and sleep is suppose to help. Drinking alot of water is also very important. Best of Luck my friend....take care

Of course men suffer from nerves as well as women...Its just that women as a whole seem to be more emotional than men,and it appears its a woman thing, but trust me it is not....My brother has suffered so bad with his nerves over the years, that it is pityful..He has done as you have, and he has had all kinds of bodily ailments and they were all caused by his nerves....Nerves can make you really sick,it can tear your stomach up,which will cause you to run to the bathroom all day..It can cause headaches, nausea, you name it and nerves can cause it...nerves can even make you think you are having a heart attack...Since you have already stated that you are a worrier, then whatever it is that you are going through is affecting your nerves, and this is perfectly normal to go through this....Try to relax more, take some long walks, and just remember that you will get done what needs to be done, all things come togeather in time...My brother i would like to add finally did go and see what was his problem and it was his nerves....he was lacking a chemical that was causing this ,his doctor put him on a mild antidepressant and he has been just fine ever since...A anti depressant does work for your nerves as well, even if you are not depressed it will help you to stop all the symtoms and it is much better for you than something like a nerve pill, that only brings you down and you just stay sleepy, and you do not want that...Good luck ,and i might add ,that a lot of men go through these things but they have such a large ego, that they refuse to admit it.....

You can be a really daft sod can't you little brother? Of course men have problems with their nerves too - just that most of them are a lot less likely to talk about it much than women are! If the medicals were ok then it probably is just nerves and as you say there ia so little time left now that it is no wonder they are so bad right now as you get ready to step out into the unknown! Just remember honey that good things are out there waiting for you - oh yeah and that you have to let your big sister know that you are doing ok! xxxxx

They certainly can suffer from nerves, wolfie! Men are just as prone to nerves as women are. Throughout my life I have seen just as many men with this problem as women. Your symptoms also lead me to suspect that you might also have a nervous stomach. I was diagnosed with this condition as a teen. It has caused me problems all of my life. Whenever I do become nervous my stomach is always the first to react.
