Do you have trams in your city?

Warsaw train;) - It's one of the types of trams we use in Warsaw. This one is modern, we have also older ones and a turist line that uses very old trams that don't have doors xD And they are slow so if you're late you can just run and jump into them:P

I like to use trams. Especially sincethere are so many street work and traffics in the summer. And trams has their own lane so it's fast and easy to got to the other side of the town;P I like them more than buses because they use electrity instead of gasoline so they're more ecological. And if you don't know what does tram look like check ot the picture of warsaw's tram I use:P

Unfortunately there is not. We do not have underground trains, we donot have monorail. Work has just started for metrorail and they hope to complete it by 2010. In India, trams were first introduced way back in 1950's in Calcutta (now known as Kolkotta). After introduction of metro rail there, they are being phased out.

I think subway is faster anm maybe even faster so it's only natural for cities who doesn't have monorail nor metro to choose second one. Well, I guess the change in name didn't apply to my language as we always call the place Kalkuta (we read "k" as english "c"). But why was it changed?

Itis because the people of calcutta, *Bengalis; are they are known want to give a touch of their Bengali language to the name. Madras has become Tamil Nadu, Mysore (my state) has become Karnataka, famous Bombay has become Mumbai.

Tramway in Bucharest - Bucharest (Romania) has a pretty developed tramway network (about 60 lines). But tramway here looks mostly like the one in my picture...

I don't know how tram carts are in other cities, but there are more models and colors in Bucharest. That was the most common one.

They look good. However do they look the same in every part of Romania? Because in Poland they are different in every city I've been to (like different design and colors).

No I don't. Its very sad. Bring up trams and light rail and people want to burn you at the stake. Their solution is -more roads (pfft, great more asphalt for a few people) -wider roads (which doesn't dissolve the idiot pile, I meant traffic jam. just makes it wider -_-) -higher speed limits (or no speed limits at all, because everyone knows if people don't get somewhere as fast as they want the world will end -_-). -less qualifications to drive (guh.../facepalm. its like everyone collectively fails on the road.) ANYTHING but trams and public transit. -_-

Yep,we have tram in our city, I like it better than the bus too but there aren't so many trams here. The most popular transport would be the metro/subway in Guangzhou, since there are 4 lines now and could almost reach most places in downtown guanzhou and it is now still developing... WBR,Andy

Well, we have subway too but it isn't developed too much. I hope it'll change soon, as we are set to host 2012 Football Euro Championship. I'm looking forward to make mycity a traffic-free place to live (yeah, sure xD)

Yeah, trams are cool but the problem with them is that they're using electricity and that cost a lot... on the other hand, guesing by how the oil value continue to increase, soon it may be cheeper than buses xD

I love trams and subways and public travel things like that. I think the U.S. should have some system like that, then we wouldn't have so many cars on the freeways. :P

Well, subways are faster:P And just try to imagine what it would be like if you had trams in your city instead of subway. All the beople from down there would be on the surface, now that would be traffic xD To be honest I like subway, but there's only one line in my town and it takes about 25 minutes to go from one end to another xD So short:P

We have these trams in the larger cities in the USA. And the larger cities have buses. For smaller towns, like the one that I'm from, we have to hire a taxicab.
