Meet LSU's new mascot, Mike VI

I wanted to post a picture of the new LSU mascot, Mike VI. He's gorgeous and big. He weighs around 250 right now and will get up to between 600-700 when fully grown. His markings are incredible! He has been on campus for a few weeks now and is enjoying his new habitat which is much nicer that the previous one. He was donated by Great Cats of Indiana. Geaux Tigers!

I don't see the picture. :( Durn it. I hadn't heard about a new mascot, or anything, but my husband and I both love bog cats so when I saw your topic I couldn't wait to see the picture.

Awww... what a cute kitty :) We have a calendar pic up for this month with two tigers playing in water - tigers are so cute :) Although I like to stay on the other side of the fence!

So far he has been very mild mannered. That is one of the characteristics that LSU was looking for in a mascot. He loves all the attention from visitors to his habitat and will come right up to the glass by his pool to see you :)

Mike VI is now 1-0 verse Florida. Hopefully he will have a chance to reign over a national championship in his first year. He does have a really nice area now.
