Scrapbooking can be a very absorbing and rewarding hobby. It is a very time-consuming activity, but if you are creative, you can create captivating designs of your photographs and events that you'll cherish for a long time. I have often thought of doing this, but didn't have the time to make a start. But I've seen some examples of scrapbook pages that people have created, and some of them are indeed very nice. Take a look at some of the work done by others at a few sites I've come across: a. http://www.cottagearts.net/gallery.html b. http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=47044 c. http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showmembers.php Although they are electronic scrapbook pages, you can still be inspired and gather some of the better ideas for your own physical scrapbooks that you create. Hope you will enjoy these and find some gems in them.

Tracey, thanks for sharing too. Very nice, especially the sites with the completed scrapbook pages. I'm not so much into scrapbooking, but I do create posters and newsletter pages for my church's resource centre for their publicity. It's not too much different from scrapbooking, so such scrapbooking pages do help me get inspired and give me ideas for designing and creating my posters.

I would love to have a whole room for just my scrapbooking. At the moment I have a very large dining room table, and since it's just the two of us, that's where I usually do my scrapbooking, and I have a buffet with drawers and cabinets so that's where I keep my stuff. I had thought about redoing our walk up attic, but I like being downstairs instead of up there by myself. He also has his laptop on the other side of the table. And with it being just us two, it's really not a problem when I don't put it all away when I'm done. I haven't really tried any of the stampers with my scrapbooking, I do like using all kinds of embellishments though, I find them in different areas of the stores not just in the scrapbooking area.

Hmm I don't know really what to say except that I love scrapbooking as well! I also have wayyy too many supplies; in fact I have probably actually wasted money by buying things I don't need or don't use. The one thing I don't like about scrapbooking is that the prices add up really quickly, and it becomes a very expensive hobby!

Yes I know I had worked that one out quickly!! i am fairly lucky that I have not bought that much as I just have the basics at the moment and buy stuff as I need it!! I have a problem finding the room for it all in my office section now and I do not like to have too much of a mess in there with my scrap booking gear!

Love scrapbooking! You mentioned you were interested in a die-cutting machine. FYI... check them all out before you purchase one. I have a friend who owns a Quickutz (spelling?), and it is not much when compared to my Cricut. With the Cricut, even though the machine and each cartridge are rather expensive, with each cartridge, you have thousands of options. You can choose different sizes, then if you want to, you could purchase the Design Studio software and "weld" letters and shapes together from the cartridges you own and cut it out with your machine. I love mine! I am extremely frugal, though. Like most scrapbooking supplies, I either purchase on clearance, e-bay, or wait for a sale... I never pay full price. So, in effect, my hobby is not THAT expensive. I learn to utilize what I have or become extremely creative with money. Some of my friends and I "share" things, or swap for awhile... It works for us!

I am still building all of my supplies for my scrap booking hobby. I always check the clearance bins at Arty Pants , Kmart craft shelves , reject shop or any two dollar shops !! I love all the embellishments, chalks, buttons etc . Where I am having trouble is that I am at the stage where have a L shape desk with no storage options , so I have to buy very little at he moment! I am getting a great collection of stencils which I store in binder folders and buttons in coffee jars!! There are so many things I have bought which I had not listed down here!!! I still have to add quotes and phases to my collection so I can make it a bit interesting and creative

Wow! I didn't even think to tear off tags from my clothing to use them on my scrap book pages!! These are excellent ideas. You have already thought of more things than I have ever used. Woo Hoo!! My Mom just gave me a whole bunch of yarn, which I am sure I could use somehow with my pages. Thank you so much for sharing all of these ideas!!
