valmiki9: how can you say that it does not allow any freedom to women. On what basis are you saying that? Have you gone through their religion or you are just saying that because you hear people saying that? I am doing a search too on Islam and I think we people have just mis-understood the religion.

Islam is such a cool religon!!!!!! i have loads of Muslim friends. it's a real pretty religon to follow and it's real simple but the thing i don't like about it how it's divided. like you have shea's and sonni's. apart from that it's a great religon to look into.

Cool. That is the right word....aptly described. I actually have just began reading the Holy Qu'ran. My search for truth, love and peace has led me to the Qu'ran. God's magnificent word has been truly inspiring me....it is moving me to better myself, to see the world in a much brighter perceptive, and be a kinder person. The divisions within religions will always be there, it is written in the Qu'ran. God chooses amongst us for the invitation to enter the magnificent kingdom. And true, a lot of muslims are cool, i used to have a negative impression, but the secret always is learning and understanding more about people, where they are coming from... we belong to one, mankind. i am always here my friend....Perry

Islam literally means submission. Submission is a big word....the question is am I ready? As go through my reading, i am finding the beauty of God's word....Islam is a beautiful religion. People must read to change some of the perceptions. Conversion, not yet....i must gain more knowledge so once ready, conversion will just come on the right time. Keep your smile my dear!

I do not boast of great knowledge of any religion, or about anything else in this world. I am a simple guy who has witnessed so much in this world. I have found my peace with Islam. As it is written, not everyone can hear and see. I have always sought for peace but ironically in this world people will see peace in varying interpretations. Islam is my religion now, on my part i seek to impart peace, period. To be honest with you, my daily prayers include, " Increase me in knowledge oh Lord." I hope you will find your peace too....

i think it is a beautiful religion and let me tell you i think , GOD is ONE, humanity is one so religion is one too, it's only updated time to time, when ever the true message is played with by the so called kepers of religion, GOD ALMIGHT MOST KIND MOST HIGH SENDS another scripture to guide humans through Prophets/Messengers and it has said that Islam is the last religion on earth, after this there will be no more religion, and as we know that the words of Quraan are still as they were, preserved for 1400 years. this is alos a sign of GOD and HIS promise. to know better we just have to read The Quran with an open mind and we will know all about what life is, love is, humanity is, and what GOD tells us to be like. it's easy simple and very refreshing. wow

My husband is a Muslim, and I respect his right to be one. Unlike one of your responders, I disagree that women have no right. Being married to a Muslim, I still have rights. If a person is of a certain religion and chooses to take ideas from it and make it EXTREME, then you can find that you are without rights. That can happen in any religion.

Saviour-V teleports in... Point taken. There have been good and bad interpretations of all religions as far as history's concerned, and it's usually because of one's extreme tendencies that things go wrong and we start blaming religion for anything and everything. Overall, I think that mankind is still far from mature when it comes to understanding one another, if what's happening in our world is any indication of this. I just hope that some people come to their senses and stop all this madness. Saviour-V teleports out...

All religious doctrines and teachings are 'thumbs-up' for humankind, inclusively mosleum and Islam. But the perceptions that make the differences and never unified. Even though I am an atheist and on atheism, what I look into all religions, the kingdom of the teachers that make differences of teaching elements been practice by the followers. Performing many sub-groups and with own self belonging. When it will be unified, I don't know and no idea about it. Thanks for nice and sincere discussion. :::michael:::

Others, or quite many, feel that it is to each his own reference to religion, teachings, beliefs, etc. We all have that deep sense within us that we belong to somewhere, a great force. As we journey through life, we act towards reaching the wholeness of our being, consciously or unconsciously, and every little thing that we do, good or bad, is in search of that belongingness, longing, searching for answers, for the truth. We search, explore, reach out...for we know we are yet to complete our being. Thank you for reply and, for adding me as your friend. Perry
