Has anyone tried any natural remedies for anxiety? I can't take St. John's Wort because it makes my blood pressure go dangerously high. I wish I could, though. It seemed to work for me. I have also tried valerian root. It did help me sleep. Anything else?

Have you tried Vitamin B?? It has really helped me in the past. Might be worth a try! It not only aids with anxiety, but can also help a hangover if taken before go to bed... : ) Be sure you eat something before taking it. Hope this helps!!

I take a multivitamin. Would there be enough in there?

You need to take Vitamin B as a supplement, or in addition to your daily vitamin regiment. If your body has enough Vitamin B, it will excrete through your urine, turning it a very bright yellow color. This in no way harms you. Although I'm not a specialist, and anyone with any type of urinary tract or kidney disfunction should be sure to ask before starting.

i would say faith. pray for God to give you peace because He does. read your bible. refer to philippians 4:16-17. there is a very good promise there about anxiety. God bless you my fan! i hope this will help you. :-)

I have tried natural remedies like SJW and kava but kava is bad for the liver and I have not the best quality liver. But I am looking into other remedies because sometimes my anxiety is bad. I would also prefer natural remedies myself.

If your problem is anxiety, it's only you who can treat yourself. Find out what is bothering you then search for the answers. Relax. If you want to know yourself, the best reference is the Holy Bible. It will tell you how man was created and the purpose for the creation and where will you be going, etc. You will have peace if you would know yourself very well and what will happen in the future based on the Holy Bible.

I have tried herbal remedies before, however none really seemed to help. Probably the like of time and potency of different heral manufacturers. However, there is a natural exercise that works rather well, and is quite easy to perform (It should help with your blood pressure as well). A complete discription of the exercise can be found at http://www.realage.com/health_guides/Anxiety/lm.aspx./topic/5. It is a simple breathing exercise and it should work for situational anxiety, at least. Try going to realage.com, complete a short survey, and they will give you help towards your health issues.

that is alright myfan. even if you are not a Christian. you are willing to take medicines to relieve you of anxiety. why not get rid of it completely by accepting the peace of Jesus. by the way, i gave you the wrong verse. here is the correct verse. glad that i found your discussion again. Php 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. just PM me if you want to know more. :-) bless you!

Hi, my husband has been suffering with panic attacks for 6 months now and he has just started to feel better, st johns wort is mainly for depression and as its natural it usually does not ease the symptoms much, i would recommend something like a low dose anti depressant or valium (low dose, short term) . Look at www.panickattacks.blogspot.com good luck x
