I am NOT a Yankees fan, but I have to agree with baseball44 here. A Rod, having an awful season by A Rod's standards was still a career year for 95% of the guys that ever make it to the show. I LOVE Derek Jeter. People can make fun of it all they want, but he has the intangibles, there's no denying that. He's a born leader, so lead Derek. It starts in the clubhouse. Everytime A Rod is attacked Jeter hasn't come to the rescue and he should. He needs to stand at the podium and take a shot at the media for taking shots at his teammate. There are a lot of egos in that clubhouse, no doubt, but if his team starts supporting him then A Rod will continue to be one of the most elite players to play the game.

how can you say that you are a yankees fan, yet you dont support the A-Rod decision. Families make decisions so therefore you stick to it. A-rod didnt have his usual numbers, but damn, the man hit AVG .290 | HR 35 | RBI 121 | OBP .392 | SLG .523. UMMMM thats a pretty damn good year. he had better numbers than johnny damon, about the same with jason giambi, giambi only leads in homers and slugg %. A-Rod needs support, and he will get it when everyone sticks up for him and backs him up.

they did trade him and im glad they did, he was getting to old. i am very happy that andy pettite is back, he was one of my fav yankee pitchers. hopefully we will do well this upcomeing season. thanks for the response!

I am very happy that pettitte is back, he was one of my fav pitchers and now we will have a good rotation, now hopefully we will get clemens to follow and then the yanks would have an amazing pitching staff.
