I Want to Pay Tribute to a Very Special Lady!!!

There is a very special lady that is part of this community of ours, I won't mention her name but I am sure that many of you will know who she is! I met this woman in my early days here on Mylot by responding to a post about Scotland and made an instant connection! I truly feel that we are somehow related to one another and she has come to mean so much to me; even though we have never met she has become my Mom of the heart and I cannot thank this site enough for giving me the chance to meet her!
Mom has been through a lot over years of time - when we first met she was very ill and life was extremely hard for her, since then she has found a company that has boosted her immune system with its products and made life so much better for her - myself and the others who care for her so much were so happy that her life had become so much better.
Very recently her world has been turned upside down by the betrayal of someone very close to her, a lesser woman would have resorted to spite and revenge whereas this woman has more courage, dignity and respect than anyone I have ever known, she does not want to cause any more hurt, she just wants to move on with her life and get back on an even keel - she is a wonderful example to us all!
Anyway I know I have gone on a lot but believe me I still haven't said a fraction o0f what I would like to. Mom I love you so much, my kids love you their American Gran and so many others I know love you too. You are one of the strongest, most loving and bravest women I have ever met and I just want you to know that you are not alone and that you are always with me - in my heart at least!

hugzzzzzzzzz hun that is a beatiful thing that you have said I have not met this woman yet and I really would love the chance and hope that I do she sounds like a very wonderful lady indeed hugzzzz.

My Darlin Daughter..I don't know what to say..it's hard to type through the tears..What you need to understand is that I am drawing strength from my friends..You all are my wings that keep me from falling into the ground!
My love to you and all the mylot folks that keep me from loosing it when I was at my worst... I am not as strong as you think..I just don't have a choise right now..If I fall apart my family will suffer.
Bottom line..What someone does to you is an example of what kind of person they are..how you react to that pain,betrayal will tell volumns of who you are.
It is easy to be a nice loving person to your kids,family,friend,strangers when things are going well but it is how you behave through the bad times that is the real example to others..

Mom as always putting all the good onto others , instead of on yourself where it belongs! You are as strong as we think - if you weren't you would not even be thinking of the suffering it would cause your family if you fell apart - that is a very clear definition of being strong! You are a true example of how to behave when things are going badly! I love you Mom - as do the kids! Just as a ps - the kids are home and they LOVE the book - they can't wait to let you know how much! HUGS xxx

What a lovely, warm, tribute my dear sis, I know the person you are talking about and she has been very very supportive to me and I have become right fond on her. I too was horrified at what she has been plummeted into and yes you are right others would have retaliated. She is a very special lady and I know she knows that she has all our support and if she needs us can call on us xxx

This is a wonderful discussion. I know who you are talking about, I requested her friendship sometime ago.
I didn´t know that much about her but from what you write here she must be a very strong, kind lady.
A real tribute to a person who is certainly well worth it.

It's lovely of you to speak so about your special friend. I've only come to realise how ladylike and refined she seems in light of most recent events. All these lovely people that I've met here have had a very positive effect on my life. I'm glad to be here and glad to think of myself as one of you.

Aww honey - even though some of my friends are rarely here I could never drag myself away as there are such wonderful people here! It is great to have so many special people to talk to here and I have to admit there are many here who have helped me through a difficult time and you and my Mom are definitely amongst them! Niamh will be upset I spoke to you and she didn't get to see your avatar - she still loves it xxx

What a beautiful tribute mummymo! That was so sweet of you! I know who this tribute is for and I have been thinking about her myself lately. I am thankful to mylot as well for giving me beautiful friendships that none can ever take away from me. You are included in my list of friends, again you did a great job on the tribute, and have a great day!

Purple my lovely cuddly friend thank you! I have managed to speak to her away from mylot and she really is an amazing lady and doen't give herself credit for how wonderful she is!
You are a cherished friend too honey - sorry if I have neglected you lately, my concentration is terrible at the moment - and I think it is wonderful to be able to meet people and make friends all over the world even though I can barely get out of the house! xxx

She sounds like a lovely person, mummymo, and a friend that anyone would be proud to claim. It is so nice of you to pay tribute to her in this way. I would like to let her know that I am in her corner, and wish her the best in overcoming the situation that has caused her pain. Life often gives us lemons and we do have to learn to turn them into lemonade.

I am sure she will read this worldwise honey and be very touched by what you say! The thing about lemonade sounds just like something she would say - you obviously have a similar attitude to many things! How are you and your daughter doing sweety? What a lovely gesture, Mummymo. A while back, I posted a discussion entitled, "How Deep Can Internet Friendships Be?" I truly wondered if it was possible to forge deep connections with people online. Well, your tribute demonstrates in no uncertain terms that not only is it possible, but that it's possible to be closer to an online friend than many people are to their offline friends and family! Thank you for this warm and gracious posting, and for bringing my attention to a woman who is truly inspiring.

Well Hart I am glad I have shown how online friendships can be forged on such a deep level! I have made a few friends who I am extremely close to and many who have helped me through some difficult times! The woman who inspired this post really is an inspirational woman who is loving, passionate and dignified - I wish I could be more like her! xxxx

What a touching tribute you have made here mummymo. Even when people have not met each other there can be a connection that is meaningful and very special. This lady is very lucky to have such wonderful friends who will support her through these difficult times, and by what you have said you are lucky to have met her too!!
I hope your numbers come up and you all get the chance to meet her one day.
Its good to read such news here that is so positive and uplifting xx

Thank you AllSorts sweetheart - you really can get to know people well without meeting them face to face - but that meeting is one of my dreams! I really do feel blessed to have met this wonderful lady and have her in my life - but then I have been blessed by having many friends both on and offline - it really does make life a lot richer! xxxx

What a beautiful tribute, and until this discussion, I didn't realize that you didn't already know this lady prior to myLot. I thought at least a couple of you were actually related. Wow! This just serves to prove that you 'can' meet some very special friends online, as so many seem to be skeptics when it comes to this. Enjoy the rest of your day.:)

Thanks for the kind words, mummymo. You're a good friend to me too. I'm happy for you that you've been able to take your friendship with Raydene to 'the next level,' and your kids too. I think this is wonderful!
Unfortunately, I had a discussion on the phone with my sister yesterday, and she 'doesn't' understand how people can make 'real friends' on a forum like this. She thinks I'm a bit weird because of it. I vowed I wouldn't mention myLot to her anymore, awhile back, but sometimes things just 'slip out.' I'm not trying to 'bad mouth' my sister here, as she's my best friend, and very dear to me. It just makes me sad that she feels this way, about a site like this.

Sweetheart I think we can both understand the way your sister feels! Mylot is the first site I had ever used and met people who became friends , before that I was very skeptical about online friends and was probably a bit like your sister! My family are like your sister - they don't understand it but that is just because they haven't tried it! We know that it really does happen and we can enjoy it - we are the lucky ones sweetheart! xxxx
