I watched part of the re-cap. It was 8:42a.m. The 1st plane hit causing a hole in the 1st tower. There is fire and smoke; people on the ground wondering what had happened; emergency vehicles everywhere; paper & debris like confetti filling the air; newscasters first thought it was accidental. Within 18 minutes, a 2nd plane hits the 2nd tower. 1300 feet above the ground...billowing smoke and huge gaping holes in the towers. It was incredible. At 9:45 the Pentagon was hit. All airline traffic in the US was stopped. All international flights diverted to Canada. The White House and the Pentagon were evacuated. 9:58 what was thought to be a portion of the 2nd tower fell. Smoke obscured everything. No...the 2nd tower HAS collapsed. 10:15 Yassur Arrafat condemns the attack. Reports of another hijacked plane heading towards DC. The 2nd tower collapses. Watching it fall again, and again, in slow motion. It is surreal. Seeing this again..so many years later, however, did not have the same impact as it once did. That is too bad. I'm certain the emotional impact of New Yorkers was and still is much greater than mine, since I never saw the twin towers in person, and can't really grasp the enormity of a 100 story building, it's importance as a NY landmark, and the impact of it's fall. We rallied together as a nation in horror and in compassion and in outrage. We were behind the President's call to fight terrorism no matter what. We were attacked. Innocent people were killed on our own soil. Time has passed. Politician's have waffled or changed their minds. We have all moved on. Political correctness is rampant. What do we do now.

Hi estherlou! That day was horrifying! Our country mourned with your nation and we are fighting terrorism too. Let us not forget that and hoping we will all be united to fight the evils of terrorism. I just hope people will realize that there is no greatness in killing the innocents and nothing can ever justify such action of terror. Take care and have a nice day.

Hi there, what's been up to lately buddy?
Well, yeah we really have to move on now and face our new lives here.
9/11 bombing attack is totally disaster and it's really hard to forget and it's still painful for all the families of the victims to remember what happened.
But still, we're still alive and our lives should not stop here, we still have to live and strive for good.
Hoping that all the families of the victims in 9/11 would totally moved on and have a new brighter tomorrow and still have faith in God.
Have a nice day ahead and happy posting and earning here in myLot.
Godspeed,
Kiko

What to do...Always remember and remain ever vigilant to ensure this does not happen again.
We move on as life continues.
We fight against terrorism on every front where it resides until such a time as terrorism is no longer a threat anywhere.
This is a world problem, and it is going to take the entire free world to fight it.
Now that 9-11 has happened, we now know that we are just a vulnerable as every other country that has been fighting terrorism for many years. The lesson is starting to fade however, and we are once again becoming complacent.
What we knew to be the right thing to do is now being questioned as people become weary of war.
The sad truth is that we will always be at war with those who seek to destroy us and our way of life...and we have enemies within as well as without.
We also have a political party that is well on the way to being the defeatist party because of their continued opposition to what needs to be done.
What makes it so bad is that most of them voted to approve of this war, and now that things have not gone the way they thought they now want to quit...despite the fact that they were told this would be a long road.
We have to stand firm in our commitment to fight terrorism on all levels and in any place that they might be.
To do any less is to be defeated.

Well you know estherlou this was a big shock when this first happened, and we could not believe it was real, then people were missing their family members ,and this was very sad for everyone...We felt so bad for the families and it hurt us to see this....but as time has passed it has dulled the biggest part of this painful event,we will never forget but time seems to heal anything over a long period...Im sure that it did not have the same impact on you seeing it again after such a long time ,that is a natural feeling, because it was long ago, time has passed, and all we remember is the sadness that all the victims suffered...We that were not involved in the act,we will never be affected by it like the ones that was there and felt the lose..Im sure that now some of the victims that lost their family has had to go on with their life and it just left a very bad spot in their heart for their lost ones..It was horrible the day this happened,we were all in shock...You ask what do we do now??????? well that is up to the higher ups,and we just have to pray that they will make all the right decisions..No pain is ever meant to last forever,we have to go on....
