I was reading a book on pagan people. Pagan people were those who worshipped nature. Earlair people use to worship nature only and later on all the gods were discovered.
In Indis we still believe in sun as a god. We have lot of festivals depending on the positon of moon and so on. So i think we still are pagans in lot of ways.
How many of u think nature as your god?
Cheers,
Tutul

The whole Wiccan religion is based on getting back in touch with nature. We observe the change of seasons and have celebrations to mark their passing. Plus we have rituals for the full moon and the equinoxes, etc. I am quite comfortable being a pagan.
Blatant plug alert! I wrote an article on Helium about one of the seasonal observations--Lammas. I am not completely happy about it, but theat may just be a writer's thing--one's next article is (almost) always better. And I haven't gooten around to completing the set (I have the other seven [eight actually] in outline, but college has been burning up more time than normal lately.)

Hi,
Nice to meet a writer here in mylot. I learned about pagan in the history books and i am quite fascianted.
I also belive the theory that, we should trust what we can see and feel.
" Binding ignorance does mislead us.
O! Wretched mortals, open your eyes! are the famous words of a genius.
Though iam a hindu i have tremendous respect for jesus, but after reading some texts i believe lot of people used his power to get supremacy.

I am a Pagan and the biggest thing we believe in is living in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. We honor and respect nature and would NEVER cause harm to anyone or anything unless it was for the greater good.
People would say that Wiccan's and Pagan's are the same when in reality thay are similar but have many diffrences. Wiccan's believe in Harming NONE and do what you will, where Pagans believe that yes harming none is the way to go but when something happins and it would be for the Greater Good then well sorry to say but someone may have to get hurt or taken out for the Greater Good.
Wicca is a spinn off of Paganism. They follow may of the Pagan beliefs and worship many of the Pagan God's and Goddesse's yet believe in diffrent rules and laws.

I'm an eclectic and American pagan. I mainly worship the feminine aspect of what I consider to be the "universal spirit/power"...typically I call her "Goddess"...although I'm beginning to appreciate the male aspect, or the God as well lately. I think nature and all of the universe is my deity manifest...so, yeah. ^_^

I consider myself pagan, but I don't litterally worship nature, I just respect it.
