Nebraska Senator sues god over natural disaters. Senate claims that Natural disasters are befalling the world. For full story go to http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,297121,00.html I read this story and was outraged because there is alot of problems in Nebraska and the Senate chose to waste Nebraska's Tax payers time and money on a lawsuit against God. There is nothing the Courts can do. This was on Countrywide news. What do you think?? Are lawsuits in this Country getting outragious? Please share your thaughts.

This one deserves a /facepalm for two major reasons. One, HOW IN THE WORLD do you sue God, GOD!? Its an entity of faith/intangibility, how in the world can you sue something like that. It would be like me suing a ghost (I mean no offense I'm just trying to prove a point). On the other side, this guy should know he can't sue God. If thats the case he's just doing this for attention! And he has to do this because he knows he's pretty worthless as a human being. If he doesn't sue God and make these outrageous claims the voters will probably see him for the worthless slob he is. Shameless posturing and wasteful action by another empty flapping head.

Thanks for responding. I think the Senate is going about stopping crazy lawsuits in the wrong way. I am not religious and I still think it is disrespectful. He is a Politian he can help get laws changed in other ways besides being disrespectful.

Why is it disrespectful? God has flooded the entire earth at a moment in time and killed all living creatures except for the ones on Noahs arc. That would be a crime against humanity don't you think. Even Hitler, Polpot, Stalin and the Aidvirus combined didn't do such a thing!

What a bloody idiot! This man should be dragged out to the street and shot. Maybe he just wants attention or something. But who allowed him to take it this far. He should be kicked out for being such an idiot.

He did it to make a point. He wasn't "actually" suing God.

Yes, people are getting carried away with lawsuits. It is ridiculous to sue God for natural disasters! I don't believe that it will ever go to court and I think that God is allowed to give us natural disasters without us holding him responsible as it is written in the Bible that we will suffer these things. Before long, someone will sue God for them dying!!

Well I for one must say that he is going to far,yes I understand that we should be able to sue whomever we wish, but frivolous lawsuits take up the courts time and money that the world could use to go towards other things.I don't understand suing someone or thing for being fat, I am fat and I know it's not because I went to MikeyD's,having God in the alligance,we should be able to say what we feel, things like that. I think this is just crazy,I belive in God,but I understand not everyone else does. But why bring Him into this to prove a point.

I completely agree with you. I am not religious I feel like what Senate is doing is disrespectful and with him being a Politian he can get changes made in the Court system in a different way without putting God on a lwasuit. Thanks for responding to my discussion.

First of all, it's my understanding that Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Floods, ect. are from Mother Nature...at least she's always been given the credit in my book. Second, it's amazing that he is being allowed to waste court time and taxpayers money on nonsense. I think the whole case should be tossed out and he should be fined and made to apologize. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well if you look at the old testament, you can only come to the conclusion that God is a massmurder and according to our laws could be prosecuted for crimes against humanity

hey i agree with you but the story of Noah isnt actually a bible story. It is a story written by a diffrent race of people way b4 the bible thought about being written I seen it on discovery channel I dont know who did it but they had a tablet with the same story same name and everything it just wasnt a world flood. isnt that funny. What he should be sueing is the Cathiloc Chruch b/c they are the ones that killed anyone that didnt agree with them and had freethinking minds.

This man should be disbarred, or feathered (n' tarred) or permanently scarred, or whatever it is they do to Senators when they need to stop being Senators. Clogging up the court system with a frivolous lawsuit, AS A PROTEST AGAINST PEOPLE TRYING TO ELIMINATE FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS? Truly, this kind of idiocy can only be achieved by a rank of Senator or higher. Mayor? Would go hold a public rally claiming the people's right to sue whomever they dang well choose. Governor? Would just make a T.V. commercial, and use taxpayers' money to broadcast it statewide. It takes someone who has clawed his way up to Senator to conjure this level of stupidity. Run him out of Nebraska, or better yet, give him a cornfield, and tell him to support it as well as he supports the public who elected him. I give the field a week.
