Update on my daughter (Again, Ladies Only Please)

Three months ago I started a discussion about how my daughter had a traumatic experience at the flea market where she was selling BeautiControl. A man came in and exposed himself to her. I received such wonderful responses and support from so many and when I gave an update a couple of weeks later again I got a flood of support and for her. I have such wonderful friends here on MyLot.
I wanted to give you another update. Since she had not heard anything, and we knew it would be a drawn out thing, Amanda called the courthouse today to talk to them and see if an arrest had been made and if anything was happening in the case. Unfortunately they told her that the man has not been arrested yet. When Amanda got off the phone she just burst into tears. It broke my heart. She has tried to stay busy and not think about it all but it still lies there in the back of her mind. She didn't want to call the courthouse but we wanted to find out the status and I knew they wouldn't talk to me since she is 20 and of adult age.
I ask each of you to please continue to pray for her. She is still very scared and for some reason is afraid that this man will find out where she lives, although I don't think that will happen. She carries a keychain with a bottle of pepper spray attached to it that I bought for her. I don't know how long this thing is going to take but I have a feeling the man knows they are out to get him and I told Amanda it is possible he has left the state by now. If anything further develops I will let you know.

Hi Rozie,
I'm beginning to think that is what it is going to take. She has spoken with our pastor but it is looking like she may need to speak with someone else because I don't want her to get to where she is afraid to go to school or anywhere alone. As long as she can stay busy she seems to be okay but if any mention of the subject comes up she just goes into panic mode almost. I appreciate your response.

Thanks for the update. Sure have missed you here in MyLot. There are several people that I haven't seen such as Cathy and several others. I will pray that your daughter will come to peace with this incident and feel safe to be about in her own town.

Hi Terri,
I've missed being on here too. I finally got caught up this morning abou 5:30 and then they dictated several jobs again this afternoon. I have been getting up some mornings at 3:30 typing trying to get caught up. I'm just going to try not to let my work snowball again.

Sweetie I am so sorry to hear this
And yes she is doing right to be on her Guard but I think if he was out to get her he would have done so by now
I really hope that she will get over her fear I know what it is like and to this Day I will never forget and at times it still affects me but it was nothing like what your Sweet Daughter went through and that is why I know she will be ok eventually I will send you an Email

Your poor daughter to have this happen to her, and nothing has been done. I hope this man was arrested, but I do not know what kind of sentence they will give him. Your daughter should get counseling by a Christian counselor or a pastor, not by a non-Christian who cannot understand why she is going through. Certainly being confronted by this pervert will shaken anyone, and my prayers go out to her.

Did she ask if they had even tried to arrest him? I don't want to talk bad about police departments, heck my uncle lost his life as a police officer, but they put what they think are 'minor' cases on the back burner. This is so not a minor case. Maybe if she continually calls, as hard as it will be, they would put more of an effort into finding him. Whatever happens, I haven't forgotten to pray for you and Amanda.

Hi Amber,
I told her that she needs to keep calling also. I really think it is possible though that he may have left the state by now since he knows they are after him. I could be wrong but I know he won't turn himself in without putting up a fight. I appreciate your continued prayers for her and me too as I try to be the support that she needs during this time. We were coming home tonight from visitation at church and there were several cars at the little City Hall in our town as we were coming home. My son asked what all the cars were doing there and I said they were probably having court night. That is for people with tickets and such. Amanda looked at me and said she wished her court case could be held here in Leighton. She had been fine while we were at church but seeing that brought it back to her. I just will be glad when they catch him or something so she can be at peace.

I was wondering what was happening with the incident that happened with your daughter, and so sorry to hear nothing much has come out of it. You are in our prayers shelialee, you and your daughter and family. Hugs, thanks for the update, and I know its going to take a long while to get over this.

I know this must have been a very traumatic experience for your daughter and seems not to be closing any time soon. Perhaps she should look into finding someone to talk to...a councelor. It might help her to work through it.
