GRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Well got word on Monday that as of Wednsday my daughter will have to start at a different school, they got the bus all worked out which is good but I still am not too happy with the fact that the school is almost 5 miles away from our home! The school was just recently re opened a few years back, but it doesnt have a very active PTA which means more out of pocket costs for me as a parent. Also they wont have any assemblys or any extra ciricular activitys. Also for kindergarden I will have to pay over 20.00 for books and other supplys that are usually provided by the school VIA the PTA. So I dont know how much I am gonna like this new school. But tomarrow will be her first day so I will let everyone know how she likes it there at the new school. I hope that she likes it but to be honest with all of you I am already not happy with the new school!

I'm sorry that she is getting moved to a school you don't like. I hope that the teachers can make up for what you are having to sacrifice. I can't believe you have to pay for the books and such. Maybe this is an opportunity to help get that PTA going at her school!!!

Its funny that you said that because that was exactally what I was thinking too. I cut this discussion short because I went down to the new school so my daughter would know where her new classroom was ans such. They had a chart in the hallway of all the PTA members and her class was over half so thats good I will definitly use this as a chance to help build up the PTA activitys to help the kids be able to have more fun things to do durring the year and well as help the other parents out on the costs of books too. Thanks I will Write about how her first day goes tomarrow after she comes home. Hope for the best!!!!

What a bummer. I hope that she ends up liking her teacher and her class. Hopefully they will get more funding somehow.

I hope so too. Thanks for the nice thoughts, I really hope that she likes her new teacher and has no problem making friends, now that everyone has been in school for nearly a month. Im really worried about that because everyone at the new school has already had a month to bond. When your only 5, a month is a very long time. Best friends can be made in a months time. So I have butterflys in my tummy tonight. Hope For The Best, and Ill let everyone know how her day was thanks as always mylotters

I think she'll be fine. My daughter has been going to kindergarten for three weeks and already has a "best friend" that she has fought with twice. lol But she was very receptive to some kids that came in late due to vacation...so I bet she'll find her own best friend there. =)
