What makes you sad?

In this discussion, I don't mean things that happen to you specifically, but things in the abstract, animals used for cosmetic research, or global warming or maybe the fear that true love doesn't really exist. One of mine are all the kids who are orphaned or abandoned and desperately want a home and a family to call their own. Or the abused child, not just sexually or physically, but the neglected child, not shown love or affection by his or her parents - and even for those who think of pets as children - abused pets.

Most of the time, it's not having enough time that makes me sad. Since I really have quite some things to do no matter at work or in the spare time, the time goes really too fast and I couldn't enjoy everthing that I am interested in yet... Andy

awww, I feel the same. When I was in chorus in school we sang this song, Bless the Beasts and the Children. And it was basically about protecting and caring for animals and children because they can't care for themselves. Its an old Carpenter's song - I just found that out! - here's a link to the lyrics: http://www.vex.net/~paulmac/carpenter/lyrics/bless_the_beasts_and_children.html

what makes me sad is all the people out there that are followers instead of leaders. i wish people would start thinking for themselves and not believe anything they hear or want to hear and turn away from everything else without trying to study it or anything. thats what makes me sad

I feel sad about all the things you've mentioned but most of all i feel sad when i see little kids who suffer from AIDS.And for no fault of theirs.I don't blame their parents either but honestly feel a strong need for parents to check for HIV before having kids. There is medication available by which HIV+ people can prevent their child from getting it.Still there are so many people who don't feel the need to do what is required.Thats tragic.
