Well, I’m bad, again! I picked up another cat today. He walked right up to me at the apt complex that my client lives at. He’s a handsome orange boy about 6 months old. He was really sweet when I brought him in, but he isn’t impressed with the other cats, either the stray that hangs at my clients, the clinic cat when I ran him by for shots & a snap test, or our cats. The “snap” test came back negative for FIV and FLuk so he can mix with our cats. I’m getting him fixed on Thursday, so he’ll possibly be ready for adoption this weekend!Because we’ve given nice names to several cats that have had them changed to boring names, we’ve decided to name him “Capt. Jack” after the character on Doctor Who/Torchwood. Maybe since he’s got a boring name they will change it to something good.

Oh - I love ginger boy cats! Three of my 6 are big ginger males - they have great character I think. And I actually love the name - it's kind of big and strong and feisty - like all the best ginger toms are! I always think they are the friendliest of feline creatures too! Good luck in finding him a good home!

LOL! The girls are always more feisty than the boys! Mind you - maybe it's different in the States - but here in Europe it is VERY unusual to have a ginger girl - they are very arre and people usually pay a fortune for them for breeding purposes. Hugs to your ginger boys!

Well, its true that 80% of ginger cats are male. But she's really just your old domestic short hair. She had some cute kittens, but we've got so many strays that fixing cats is one of my priorities.

Roxy - The girl ginger looking for a home
I like those ginger cats too. My Taj, and Ping & Pong, the "Wonder Twins" are all ginger. We even have a ginger girl looking for a home, but we've had to stop taking her to adoptions because she started attacking people at the adoption.

My Stumpy - My cat Stumpy at his favourite place..
oh what a wonderful person you are, an earth angel, I love to hear of people doing nice things for animals especially cats as they get a raw deal most of the time, I believe cats a very close to the spirit world and I believe they only go to nice people, I admire what you are doing so much... your little black and white cat in your avatar looks like my Stumpy..

Yeah, very much. Oliver has a rather small, pointy face, you baby looks a bit wider. I like both types. In fact, I like almost all cat faces except the "Persian" flat face.

I love Torchwood and I love Captain Jack and Doctor Who. Did you see Doctor Who tonight with Captain Jack it was a two parter with the hand in the jar. It was cool.

Ohhhh I'm so glad you do this! That is so wonderful! I don't know what religion you are but I feel that God has saved you a place in heaven for taking care of his creatures like you're doing! Bless you and all of your furry babies!

He is too cute! He looks like my Nemo. I hope he gets a good home. He sure looks like a lovable little fellow, that's for sure. Good thing I don't live close to you....I'd be begging for him to come home with me. LOL

I like the name. And he IS cute! He reminds me of my Rodney, a cat who lived with me for over ten years and passed away about 9 years ago. I hope that Capt. Jack gets the best home ever! I live in New Jersey, but if distances didn't matter, I'd adopt him myself. My Columbus, Waffles, and Mimi are house cats that get a lot of love, attention, food, water and places to sleep. None of them are allowed to roam the streets --- it's much too dangerous. I love cats!

Well, the roomie fed him some wet food but had to shut the door because he's so noisy! He growls & hisses. I wish I could send him up there, but he didn't travel well from the apt complex to the vet to my house.

Aw he's gorgeous, what a handsome cat. He reminds me a lot of my old cat, I called him Biscuit because he was ginger :-)

Aww--he's adorable ElicBxn! Reminds me of some of the orange cats I used to have...Capt Jack from Doctor who? When I saw the name I first thought Captain Jack,...as in Captain Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean

Capt Jack - Here's a pix from the Beeb's website
If he'd been a brown tabby, we'd've probably tacked on "Sparrow."But even Capt Jack from Doctor Who/Torchwood is a dark haired chap.

Really, we had named one of Rygel's brothers Orion. He got a new home & a new name, Jack. So, maybe if we name him Jack he'll get a nicer new name!

Hi ElicBxn, and this boy is cute and adorable and soft, and nice and sweet! Great deed to adopt him and find him a new home after being fixed. You are a blessing for abandoned cats and be blessed for it! I rated and commented on your photo too :) TheFortunes

Thank you. I just feel that if someone doesn't care enough to do what is right for a baby, even an animal baby (tho he is a 'teenage' cat now) they shouldn't have one. I'll go look at your comments. did you see the other pix of Capt. Jack I posted on other comments about him?
