Is UN not sufficient? I think it is like a world government only for some countries not submitting to its authority...

As long as Freedom and the Constitution rule there will NEVER be a one world government.
Also we must never let the elite enslave the population and always remain free. Humanity is too good to submit to the evil clutches of a new world order.

Hi NeoComp, Thank you for comment. You appear to believe that a world government would take away freedom, but many feel that it would not. I think that it will take some time and a lot of work, but I believe we could create a better world for everyone. Blessings.

I think the only thing that would bring the world together would be attack from an outsider.
Man is driven by being better than the rest. If we shared the worlds wealth out equally, there will always be at least one man who wants more than the rest. And so for tat reason I don't think it's possible for us to come together as one government.
I was speaking to a guy from Cameroon yesterday and he said something very wise. He said that the different between the different races in this world is like the different fingers and theumb on your hand. All are made differently, but that doesn't mean one is better than the res, you can use them all for different things. Until we all realise this we can't get along. We will always have war because one group of people - weather it be people of a certain race, religion, or so on, will always think they are better than another.

Hi 4ftfingers, Thank you for taking part in this discussion. You make an interesting point. All our fingers and the thumb are different, yet they are all important and necessary. As a species we have to learn that it is the same with different races, religions, etc. It is not something that is going to happen overnight, but may come about someday. Blessings.

I think if we had a government where everyone would have the same opportunities to provide a good life for their families. If we had no more crime or poverty and if everyone would have food and medicine. Also, freedom of speech and freedom of religion needs to prevail. In other words , I'm asking for a perfect government. To be honest, a world government is only an illusion.

Even if I don't think it is a good idea, it will happen. This will be one of the signs of the end of this world and the beginning of the new world..

Humans can't even make peace with each other, even those of the same nationality!! I do not see a world government happening in the near future. It may be possible to have a de facto world government, but only because all nations remain sovereign the dictators are shown the door (or the gas chamber).

Hi progamer, Thanks for your thoughts on this discussion. I don't really see it happening in the near future either, but I would not rule it out. There are many changes coming about on the planet, that may well mean that nations will have no choice but to cooperate with each other. Providing we are able to save the planet for our species, we may well see, not only a world government, but also world peace. Blessings.

It sounds like a good idea, maybe with a representative from each country maybe, as there would never be an agreement on who would be head of this Government, it would nice to think the world could work as one and help each other through times of need...we can only hope for this sort of thing being the miracle this world need at the moment...
