And so, another great author dies. I hope they can finish the last book of his series. http://slashdot.org/articles/07/09/17/0243230.shtml

From what I understand, he told the rest of the story to his family before he passed, and they will eventually finish it for him, as that is what he wanted done. I am not sure if it will be only one more book, or as many as three, I've heard/read differing accounts.

i was so bummed when i first heard this! like someone else said..he told much of how he planned the ending to his family..and according to his wife, Jordan left lots of notes. i believe his wife (who is also the editor of the Wheel series) has already chosen an author to finish the series out..in what they hope is one final book. His name is Brandon Sanderson and the final installment will be titled "A Memory of Light". if you're interested in reading Jordans blog..and the subsequent updates since his passing..here is the Official site. http://www.dragonmount.com/RobertJordan/

I see we share a love of Robert jordan's writing! Have you read the whole Wheel of Time series? I heard that his wife was going to take all of his notes he made for the final book and attempt to write it, at least then we know the end to the story. I have read the first 5 or 6 books and then life got busy for me. I want to go and buy them all and then start over from the beginning and read them. Have you ever read Terry Goodkind? He also has a really good series out, same kind of Fiction, called...oh gosh what is it called??? I forget! i can't believe I forget! haha The Sword of Truth.

I had not heard about this at all. This is truly a loss to all of his followers. Of which I am only one.
