My cat has a problem? My cat is a very large - not fat - Fluffy Moggie, he is a russian blue colour, his problem is that he power spews after eating, it's quite yuckky!! to say the least, I have to feed him a teaspoon of meat at a time taking hours, or feed him outside on the pavement, with summer comming on this is not a suitable solution as the ants almost pick him up and shove him to 1 side when the dinnerbell rings, although they are at least good mannered taking a bath in the water well arround the food bowl first?? And if he happens to do the powerspew thing there "well lets just say GROS' I am not picking that up!! I have taken him to a vet and she just said to feed him smaller portions but if I reduce to a half a teaspoon it will take all day to feed him!

I think you are feeding it too much which is why the poor thing is being sick, imagine if someone was sat making you eat all day long, you'd be sick as well. I don't know why you have gotten into the habit of feeding your cat this way but when your cat is hungry it will eat from a dish like any other cat. I think you believe you are being kind to your cat but I think it is cruel to force feed an animal until it is sick.

Sorry you have misunderstood me, I dont sit all day feeding my cat off a teaspoon?? he actually only gets about 2 tablespoons of meat for the day, I put a teaspoon in his bowl surrounded by a watermoat 1 at a time, leave it then go back an hour later and put another spoonfull in, during the hot weather I feed him at dusk and early mornings before the sun is up, he doe's like the gravey off the cans of whiskas casserole though but not the meat? He likes kangeroo or horsemeat and as these are rich meats it is most likly half the problem but he will not eat canned food? only the gravey. He was braught up on kangeroo meat though and is used to it. Thanks

I think I would take the cat to a different vet and get another opinion. If she is eating small amounts and still vomiting it up, that doesn't sound right. She may have some problem with her esophagus or other illness that needs treatment.

Sorry, I meant he. I always tend to write about cats as female.
