It hit VERY bad today...

September 19, 2007 7:02pm CST
I've had a very rough day today. This is the second time I've thought of suicide. I just do not understand why I cannot understand when something 'bad' occurs. I am an intelligent individual. It appears my brain wants to shut down and not function properly. Yes, I am on medication. Obviously, it was not 'doing it's thing' today.

I don't doubt that you're an intelligent individual, I've actually heard that depressed people almost always are intelligent people, we get depressed because of how deeply we are able to analyze things..makes sense. I know how you're feeling, I have my downer days too...seems unfair when I'm a kind person.

I am so sorry that you had such a rough day. i know what you mean. Sometimes I have those days where I have a really hard time getting out of bed to face the day. I know that it's going to be rough. I am on medication to and sometimes it just doesn't work well enough. it is good to have a good support group here and I really don't have one here, but I call friends from back home and they end up making me feel a little better. Sometimes, I just do what I need to do and take a long nap. I do what I have to to get through that day and hope the next day isn't so bad. Good luck to you and your in my prayers.

Hang in there tkohler, I think we all have these days, it is good that you are on medication which means you are under a doctor, good one there, just remember you are not alone, I think these days it is a part of life and we just have to try and cope, I know I always look for the postive int every situation and convince myself tomorrow is another day and things will be better...stay strong my friend...

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a rough day. I know what those feel like, and they're really, really hard to get through. Medication helps, but there are always those days where the depression still takes over. I have one every now and then. Although I find it a bit easier to handle those rough days while on medication, because I trust that it will pass. Unlike before when I didn't take medication, and every day was torture. I hope you feel better soon and get through this rough patch.
