Vickie I think we all do it to a certain degree. I am from the USA and my slang is different than from where you are from. I know where you are from the Nova Socha I spelled it wrong but I do not want to look up your page.
Do you use the term Stones for weight? Like someone weights 13 stones. I was wondering how much a stone weight. eh

Oi. Canadian eh?
I always type like I talk. I think sometimes it's almost obnoxious how accurate my writing is to the way that I speak. It's especailly bad when I have to remember to transition to professional writing for work or school or something!

I have been told I write like I talk too. I would get in trouble if at work I wrote the way I do here. HEHE Thanks!

No I don't really. I'm Scottish and if I wrote the way I spoke I think you might have a hard time understanding me! Although having said that I do write "I mean..." a lot and I say that a lot too - I just noticed that the other day actually. The other one I tend to write quite a lot is "at the end of the day" which I say ALL the time, so people tell me anyway. But I don't use local dialect or anything like that. I wouldn't get many responses if I did lol!

I love the sound of the scottish accent but at the end of the day it would take a while to understand you know what I mean. HEHE Thanks for the post Stiletto! Vicki

LOL I do all the time...and I too am Canadian so "eh" is a big one for me...My husband (who is American) used to bug me all the time for it too....I also have a habit of using words that arent Canadian but rather more British in nature simply because I was raised by a British pair...THAT really confuses ppl! LOL

Hello!
okay, let me laugh first! LOL!... I had to check your profile to see where you're from...I didn't know that 'eh' is a canadian expression...silly me eh? LOL! Why I said I didn't know? honestly I really have no idea and i'm not from canada but i'm guilty in using 'eh' all the time. I dunno...one day it came out of my mouth and it's been habit.. sometimes I say 'no?'. It's funny actually 'coz I do write 'eh' and 'no' here in myLot.. what can I say..nothing no? *hihihi*
ciao! c",)

I had to look to see what country, oops.. I don't know if I say anything that shows where I am from. I pick up a lot from the internet and what others say, so I guess I am a mixture??

Hahaha i am on your wavelenght Vic. I think pretty much all over the world the spoken word EH is international language. It does not matter what accent you inheritted or whether you speak any second language and this is confirmed by the written language. Weird word eh?
