The sun finally came out!

Ok....so I'm a true Californian, and one day of storming feels like a zillion! The day before yesterday, it was fairly warm, and pretty much clear skies. When the weather man said that a storm was going to be rolling in, I was thinking "yeah, right". Well, he turned out to be right for once. Yesterday, there were thunderstorms all day long and lots of rain (nothing like in the midwestern states right now, but for us it's a lot). Then, as I was driving, marble sized hailstones started pelting my truck. The strange thing was that after I crossed over the river, it just stopped. I looked back in my mirror and could see the hail still coming down on the other side of the bridge. And of course I don't have my camera! Figures! It's been cold and cloudy most of the morning, but the sun finally decided to come out and cheer everyone up for a while. But it's not supposed to last long....another big one is rolling in tonight. So I'll just stay snuggled up with my kitties and blankies. LOL

I live in northern CA and it was up in the 90s and 100s up until about a week ago. So we went from teeshirts to sweatshirts almost immediately. It was cold enough last night that I had hubby light the heater! Thanks hon.

I know what you mean hon. I hate being cold myself. But I like it being cold out better than hot. When it's hot you can take off only so many clothes before you end up in trouble. LOL Hugs!

Dear Kat, it sounds just lovely. I would be dancing in it if it were here. We so desperately need rain.

My daughter and my friend's son that she was watching actually went out in the rain and both of them ended up with colds. Believe me they got no sympathy from me or my friend. LOL

That would have been a cool picture to take! It's weird to be in a place with no precipitation, yet you could see just right over the way, rain is coming down in torrents. I don't like the rain a lot because my apartment in beneath the main level, and when it rains, the rain tends to come inward towards my front doorstep. So I get in and out of there as quickly as possible!

That sounds almost like you would need sandbags to keep the water from coming in your front door! LOL

Stormy weather... my favorite thing! We tuck in and wait it out, and if we lose electricity, we all snuggle as well, and listen to the radio. Since this happens all the time, we've learned to use our outdoor grill and its side burner to keep coffee going, and to warm water to fill our dove's 'hot water bottles'! Where we are, the sun is a rarity!

LOL! We're lucky in the cooking and heating department when the power goes out. The electricity is through one company, and the gas is through another. So if the electricity goes out, we still have gas to cook and heat the house with. We also have one of the smaller Foreman Grills to cook with too. Those work really well, and you can use them in the house. Thanks hon.
