If your friend wanted to be a singer?

If you had a friend that couldn't sing but wanted to be a singer, would you tell her to find another career to do besides singing?

I wouldn't want to be the one to dash anyone's dreams. I would be honest and tell her I didn't think she sounded professional enough yet and suggest she take singing lessons.
