Is noodles in gravy really a food?

First of all, I'm surprised there's nobody in a generalized food group here. But where else am I to describe this so-called "dish" that amounts to nothing more than two supplements with no main ingredient? Now ordinarily dinner is passable, and sometimes even interesting and different (though I could use some more fish dishes). However, every so often they (the "cook") pull this little stunt where they provide food but not in an actual meal. Like when you submit a book report only you hand-wrote it instead of typing it up. They take a bag of generic noodles. REALLY generic noodles. Literally rectangle-shaped noodles that have been wrinkled to feign interest. Then they take a jar of gravy. Weak gravy. Gravy that is essentially made up of three things: water, salt, and brown. There's chunks of meat in there too. Well, psuedo-meat. Solid brown, really. They then proceed to boil the noodles, then when that's done, pour the "gravy" onto the noodles. Voila. That's dinner. If there's a name for this dish other than "Hobo's Pasta" then the food world will cry. See, my family has this weird notion of accepting mediocre food. They go to this abomination of a buffet restaurant that overprices such things as "bacon wrapped around a piece of hot dog with a toothpick through it". But what is the deal with this gravy + noodle concoction? Not that it matters to me. I enjoy what's for dinner, but they always assume I'm picky anyways.

Noodles in gravy can be called a complete food because it satisfies our hunger. Whatever satisfies our hunger can be called food. So why not noodles? I enjoy a little spicy noodles.

Noodles do have wheat (rice, if they are rice noodles, and egg if they are egg noodles) and it looks like the gravy does have meat or meat-products in it. So there is some nutritional value though it definitely isn't beef stroganoff. I like noodles tossed in butter and eggwhite, with the the yolk cooked separately and added later with a bit of parmesan cheese. But of course, that is my taste. This is someone else's cooking? Perhaps you can volunteer your services and produce a culinary masterpiece ...

I like noodles in gravy, and it is even better when you add meatballs in it ! I like to eat things different all the time, not the same old things over and over.
