Im Muslim, Ive been fasting about a week now, from around 5:30 till 7:00 I cant eat, drink and am not supposed to do anything bad. The main reason behind this month of fasting called Ramadan, is to get more self control over your desires and wants(i.e. food) So! What's the word on the street about fasting/Ramadan?

Some traditions are worth killing for. But we arent taking about any of that now, we are specificly talking about Ramadan.

That sounds like a good idea. But why limit the self control to just the one month? Take the insights you gain from your religious practice and apply them during the entire year.

Exactly! the point of Ramadan, you fast to gain self control and become more closer to god thru worship and good deeds. THEN continue thru the rest of the year, its more like a lifestyle change then a diet type of thing.
