I am in the process of getting my teaching degree. It is kind of pathetic that teachers get paid so little. They actually see the kids often more than their own parents do! So if you look at it this way teachers actually have the biggest influence on a child when they are growing up! Don't you think we should be investing more in our children?

I also think teachers deserve more money, although I'm a student, and in most cases would stand oppsitie the teachers. When I was so young that knows nothing about school, I was sent to a elementary school. The teachers that taught me to obey the rule, to learn new things, to play games. Once I fell ill at school, I was taken to the doctors' by my maths teacher. I hate medicine, but my teacher made me take the medicine in some magic way. I was so grateful, many years later I choose mathematics as my major, when I entered university.

yes i m in gr8 favor of giving teachers the most value of their services because they tell us what we do not know we can also learn by books but the way teacher explains is the best way we learn things so i believe that they must be given the highest salaries ..

Yes, I think the teachers deserve more money. Therefore, there will be much more excellent persons to be teachers. And teachers are so important for a country's development. We can expect good students because we have good teachers.

Yes, absolutely! Because their work is so hard that they deserve a higher pay. And let us face the fact that without teachers- all of the positions in all fields are none also. All of it is there because the teachers created the people who occupies it all.

OMG YES!!! but not for having the *most* influance on the kids.. thats debatable as well... depending on the family they come from :( unfort. but yes teachers and teacher aids deserve much more $$ mostly for what they have to put up with the kids in a classroom no matter what grade I worked in a school as a teacher aide and have seen some of the very stressful and sometimes violent ways some of the kids are! :( tho money cant save a teachers sanity it might make the job a bit more *doable* knowing ur working for what ur worth! :)XX My English teacher in 6th grade told me it took a special kind of person to want to give of themselves SO MUCH not knowing if they are reaching ANY child ..but if u know u did JUST ONE!! then a teacher knows what hes doing is WELL worth it! ( not quoted )but it was the *jist* of it I think it was because he was taking extra time to help me with math ( which i realy sucked at till then.. with his help!) - ill never forget him! :)xx GOOD LUCK with ur degree XX
