Well I think this morning I was more worried then my daughter, I was unable to sleep very much last night, I was worried about how today was going to go. I was worried about if she would have any difficultys making new friends at the new school, would she be shy and nervous scared. I had just went through these emotions a few weeks ago when she originally started Kindergarden. So this morning we did as usual walked down to her bus stop and see our same friendly bus driver, who already knew about the her now going to the different school. After all the kids were on the bus and in their seats, he asked me if I had taken her to school myself yesterday because she wasn't one the bus and the afternoon drivers said that she wasn't on their bus either. I explained about our family emergency and asked him if could make sure that she got to room 2 safely. he said "No Sweat!" He would make sure that the bus duty took her to her class or if they wernt out there he would do it! (Such a nice guy well all 3 of her bus drivers are VERY NICE guys!) So then all day long I was worried and had butterflies in my tummy. Finally 2:00 came its was time to go and pick her up! Well she had an ear to ear smile!!!! Whew! I asked her how her day was and she said Mommy I made 2 new best friends! My teacher is an old lady but shes nice, dn she said I was cute!!! Mommy a girl threw up in the bathroom in my class today (it was that little girls first day too poor thing) She was happy to get to see her friends from her old school on the bus coming home which she will get to see everyday other then Wednsdays. So although I still have some problems with the school Im happy to know she handled it well. VERY WELL! Thank You all for your support!!

hi, i was so glad to hear that her first day went so well. you know children are so special. they can adapt to just about anything. not so easy for us adults. i read your other discussions about her having to change schools and i think that was just wrong the way they done you and your little girl. i prayed that she would have a great day, and i am so glad she did. she sounds like such an intelligent little girl and i hope she continues to love going to school like mine do. i have three girls so i know what enjoyment you get out of raising her. I hope you have many more memories to make and cherish.

Yes she is very smart. Today was here second day and her only to complaints were that today was a "boy day" which she tells me means that only the boys can play in the play house so she has to wait until Monday to get to play in the play house again, and that treat day was moved from friday till Monday but she said everything else was fine LOL. The troubles of a 5 year old!

Kids make us grey! But I am glad that your daughter adjusted so well. They really are better at things than we are. I used to constantly worry about similar situations and my sons just breezed through them as if nothing was different. I had near panic attacks the first days of kindergarten, middle school, junior high, and high school for each kid. Sheesh. I even was nervous for my 11th grade son this year for no reason. Just new classes and new people and stuff... Anyway, I am so glad things are going well. Maybe it is best that your daughter stay where she is and not change again if if the old school finds a way to fit her back in. She seems very happy! Thanks for the update.
