To My Friends Here: Going To Be Away For Awhile AGAIN--LOL

I'm so behind here at MyLot it's not funny, between the grants I'm working on and everything and have one more grant to work on...But something has come up also........
One of the great pet rescuers who took in a few of my kitties, when my mother and I were being threatened with eviction last year, and whom I'm in constant contact has a "proposition" for me to help HER out
Anyone who knows pet rescuers, or is one, knows the constant work involved with not only rescuing animals, and placing them in new homes, but the hard task of raising money through fundraisers. Well, Deyanne's no different. I just talked to her on the phone, and she wants me to design a flyer that can be circulated/mailed out to advertised her fundraising benefit on October 20th...She wants me to include not only the specifics of where it will be, when, but in an eye-catching design that will attract people, including pictures of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even include photos suggesting the autumn season--so YIKES..have my work cut out for me here...She's going to pay me for my effort too :)
So once again, I might be missing in action while I become the artistic creative genius person here and design this flyer for her--LOL She wants me to have it done as soon as possible too...gee, no pressure...heehee
Will try to be back as soon as possible...

That's such a wonderful job and thing to be doing!
It's so nice to be able to give back to those who have helped us :) Not to mention hopefully finding great homes for lots of little animals too!

Well almost finished designing that flyer...should be all done by Monday...but taking a break...not only was working on that, but still doing my fall cleaning thing...yeesh
Yes, she's such a nice person, so I'm glad I could help her out.

I just happy to help Deyanne out, as she was great in taking in five of my kitties...almost finished working on the flyer, just a few more details, but I'm rather pleased with how it came out considering I never did this before...well, one does learn something new to do..right?

Nearly finished with that flyer already...see what happens when one just really concentrates?? LOL---Since it's a document, I would have to scan it to change into the .jpg format...so will do that--think it came out rather well, if I may say so myself, considering I've never worked on something like this before

Awww--don't cry peanutjar....I concentrated on working on that flyer so much last night I'm nearly done already...did it faster than I thought! Just had to come back here...on a break..was doing some more of my fall cleaning today too, so just need to chill out for awhile, and what better place thn here??

If anyone is going to be famous here on MyLot, it has to be you. The rest of us will sit around and whisper about when the famous 'Pyewacket' will visit. Or by then you'll be so fancy that you'll only be known as 'Pye', or if you're really kooky, just 'Wacket.'
Because that is so exciting! You're doing so much work, and it's going to a wonderful cause. Deyanne is really fortunate to know someone who has such an ability to convey a desired message clearly and focused. I'm so glad to hear the good news! Just make sure you take care of yourself! : )

Wow, I didn't realize that you know a pet rescuer so well ... that's great, and what a wonderful opportunity for you too. I too know a pet rescuer, and she works tirelessly (mostly for cats), but she will help out with other animals too, I'm sure. She also operates a 'cat hotel' where owners can leave their precious kitties, and be assured that they will receive excellent care, while the owners are away. Our Anna Belle has been there many times, and actually enjoys going, now that she's used to it. Take care.

I'm glad you stopped by, and hope all's going well with your various projects. The 'pet rescuer' I know is an amazing lady. She's been called out in the middle of the night, and has even crawled under a house, to rescue a kitty. Now that's dedication!:)

I actually am in touch with a few pet rescuers and they are all such fantastic folks. Yes, being a pet rescuer isn't exactly easy work...a lot involved--I don't think I could ever be one...there's a lot of heartache involved knowing there are so many unwanted pets....Anyway just had to stop by here...on a break...LOL

I bet it isn't easy to do, financially. But oh! I would love to. I think I would be so happy rescuing animals that need homes.
If you can post it, I would love to see the design you came up with for the flyer.

That's one thing pet rescuers always need..MONEY to run things...it's not easy being a rescuer!

Well, pyewacket, just go and do your thing! I know you can handle it because I've seen some of your work. That's a great opportunity for you to get some of your work out there. Gal! You're going to run yourself into the ground, like me, if you don't slow down. Some things can wait a bit when you're busy like that. My body finally took over me and made me lay down for a bit. There's just so darned much going on that I ran myself into the ground and I know I need to take some time for myself but I can't yet. Tomorrow I've got to take my friend an hour north of here to meet her boyfriend so he can take her the rest of the way home which is four hours from here. I just can't do it, I'm too tired. Then I've got two pies to make for a cookout tomorrow evening. Sunday is MINE! LOL I've got to take a much needed break or I'm going to drop.

I know the feeling, I'm busy on other sites these days, but still pop back here to see the action (if any). Most of my friends also seem to be absent as well, I hardly ever get an e-mail from Mylot these days.
Still its good that you are going to get paid for working on a very good cause (one that's very close to my own paws), and should be supported.

I will wait for you I do understand about being so far behind. I finally got rid of most of the 400 discussions that I was behind on. I deleted them. I then started fresh from four days ago. I feel that is not two long. Three weeks does not cut it.

Almost finished with it now...just a few final touches...I'll send a copy to you as a PDF file that you should be able to open with adobe reader--I also managed to start, work, and finish the third and final grant today..yipeee...did another happy dance!!

This sounds like a really great opportunity. You do realize that this job falls under copywriting/technical writing (communication), don't you? It is something that you can use to get more work of this type. We will miss you, but you really need to take advantage of this opportunity. :)

This WOULD be a great way to make some more money on the side if I decided to do this more often...so really tell me how I can go about this??
