How do you make a divorce positive for a child?

My husband and I have grown far apart recently. We have different goals and values. It just can't hold on much longer. However, we have a 2 year old and I am worried about how this will affect him in the future. I don't want him to hate me! ANY ADVICE?

I am not an expert to this but I think it would really have an effect on the kids life, no matter how we want it to not affect them that much. I hope you guys can rekindle and fall in love again but if not I do hope too that whatever your decisions maybe will be the best for your kid. God bless!
