The booming aqua culture industry also brings a lot of environmental problems to the coastal places. Many agricultural fields in coastal Andhra pradesh have been converted into aqua ponds for fish/prawn culture because of the huge export market available.But No one is concerned about how these ponds pollute the ground water in the surrounding places. Last year, one of the Indian State Government acted in a very strict manner to demolish the illegal/unauthorised fish ponds in the natural lake kolleru in Andhra pradesh. How to prevent pollution from these ponds and save the nature.?
