Hi I ve been going thru re treatment for my root canal and the dentist gave me clindamycin (Dalacin C) as anti inflammatory anti biotic to prevent any infection while the temporary filling is in. After two days I started getting prickly heat rash, I live in a hot climate but havent had this problem before. I have completeld the 7 day course for the antibiotic but I 've noticed that Ive also got spots on the palm of my hand which on my fingers which look more allergy spots. I l''be going to my dentist soon..I dont really trust her now. I was wondering has anybody had the same sorta reaction to an antibiotic..or could this have triggered the prickly heat rash? Thank you for your help in advance.

I've also had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. I can't remember what I was taking it for, but after a few days on the medication, I broke out in a red rash all over. I stopped taking the medication right away, and notified the doctor of my allergic reaction. I think he prescribed another medication in it's place.
