Personally I believe that the law varies from state to state, but honestly it is ridiculous for the boys to be sentenced to twenty two years for beating up a boy at school. Am I wrong for feeling that this is completely unreasonable? I mean I could see if they had used deadly weapons or had put the boy in the hospital but he didn't have anything wrong with him except for a black eye basically. I think that this is crazy because when I was in high school there were plenty of fights and the person was bleeding and maybe even had broken a bone or something and they weren't given more than a suspension or expelled for a year. What do you think has been done here in this particular situation that is right and wrong? Do you see this a racial thing?

I think it's a horrible racial thing, I mean the school kids even hung nooses on the tree. The boys should SO Not be put in jail like that.

I think that is true. I know that everyone likes to believe that racism is a thing of the past, but it really isn't.
