SMS.. A very qucik means of communication.Helps a lot to pass information within seconds instead of calling someone over phone spending more money.
As of me sms helps me to stay connected with my friends..I do get unwanted messages from unknown numbers which i never reply back..just ignore and keep going.I hope its one best way to stay away from any further problem.
Since you can pass messages to anyone by using your mobile at a very nominal cost but youngsters have been misusing the value of this nominal charge previlage.The present youngsters fail to understand how it will hurt someone if he/she gets SMS with bad sentences.
The mobile companies in order to increase the sale of their products they allow sms at a nominal charge in this competitive world.If we use this SMS for good purpose then it will appreciatable and acceptable but nowadays this system is used inorder to take revenge on your enemies.Boys send SMS with vulgar words to girls whom they do not like and sometimes do not know.Just imagine the particular girl is not only feel bad but also she is in a state of shock as she does not know from where and whom this message has come to her.
The situation is such she will not let anyone know about this.She will have to suffer herself in silence thinking of her fate.Only courageous girls seek the help of police to find out the culprit who causes this attack.If police finds the person then he will pay the penalty for his misconduct.
Inspite of so many arrest why do some youngsters do this mistake again and again? please share your views...

i think i will not care about those bad messages,i just delete them.why should i be angry to someone i even dont know about.i delete those messages,life still goes on.
i dont know why they did this,maybe because of boredom or lonliness,who knows,but at least i know they dont deserve my attention,i just ignore it.by the way,the police in my place wont consider this a big deal,so i never go to the police.

Dear Suba, again very though provoking topic, Well in this increasing competition, differnt companies are offering not only very nominal rates but also Connections(specially pre paied) are beingg sold with out having proper identity and documents, which is making it hard to detect such persons.
U r right boy and girls are misusing it some send mails intentionally and some sent due to confusion of number, The reason is frustration in society, Film they are watching and shows they are having, they want to mingle like west but still norms and value are their so resultuing in this
Better way is to ignore such messages from unknown # and Much better if u delete them without reading
What poilice can do and i can be more worse as they will be angry after paying penality
I am sorry but we are misusing it

Yes friend. I think I agree with you on this. SMS was meant for good, but some are making use of it the other way which makes some feel hurt. Some do or make mistakes again and again because they don't like asking themselves positive questions. Thanks and have a nice day.

Hi,
It also has another helps like getting answers during exams, misguiding messages, hoax, so on... Still it another part of technology advance may be a begining of new ideas for transferring our feelings. Those pagers are vanished which was as father of SMS

Maybe they have nothing better to do but to send prank messages to scare girls? Anyway, it's safe to ignore a message from an unknown sender. If it's from enemies, then victims have to be more careful of their surroundings. Never know what youngsters these days can do to you..

Although this discussion is old enough, still it caught my attention and i alike to answer it.
You are very much right that SMS can be used in good purpose. But it is missused most as I think. Mainly by younger generations. They do the mistake again and again as they like to do the things taht are forbidden.

Well , this is has been a very common and i would rather say an outdated problem n youngsters, in this world of technology , where computers , internet and laptops are very common in teenagers hands so there is nothing that gals dont know about any such stuffs, but yeah when someone go on sending those idiotic sms again n again then it definitely feel to be problematic...and at prsent world its almost impossible to put a chcek on such crme , rather its up to the metallity of youths that till when thwy will be mature enough not to do such childish atcs...

Okay, I'm not sure if it's related cause I haven't read the full text.
SMS is quick, but it lacks the feeling of really talking with him/her face to face. In the Philippines, a mobile service provider have offered per-second calls and sometimes they are cheaper than SMS cause it's 1/10 the price of SMS per second. So 10 seconds of voice call is just equal to one SMS which is quite good if you really love talking with somebody.

Oh, this is very common now-a-days amongst cell phone users. Women must learn to get used to it and overcome the habit of dwelling on it, it's really not worth giving our time and energy. Anonymous calls and messages are to be ignored and deleted in the same way as junk/spam e-mails. Just like how the spams are in the Internet world, these vulgar messages and anonymous calls are existent in the mobile world.
Either you quit using the cell phone or stand immune to the vulgarities of strangers. That's how it has to be, Police complaints and all come handy only in the short run. There are millions of such spammers all over the country. If one is arrested today, thousands are born tomorrow, we will have to spend all our life in the police station, should we take them all into consideration.
Who are these spammers anyway? They are but cowards. They do not have enough guts to face the girls and talk to them in person, that's why they are resorting to these cheap methods in order to vent off their humiliation, thereby expressing their helplessness. Should we care for these hideous cowards? I pity those senders of vulgar messages, they are just wasting their precious time which could otherwise have been utilized in something productive.
