I suppose it is according to the reason. Say, if my husband just forgot, I would not be a happy camper. Gifts just happens to be my "Love Language," and when peopel give me somehting I feel special, cause I know they thought of me (doesn't have to be expensive or anything). Even if we decided not to buy presents, I would feel a lil disappointed if he did't write me a letter or cook me dinner ro do SOMETHING.

I would feel perfectly fine without Christmas presents. Sometimes the exchange of Christmas gifts almost become meaningless as it becomes a ritual and you end up with a lot of stuff that you don't use and eventually donate to charity. What's more precious is the time you spend with loved ones and to take the occasion to be thankful for the gift of salvation.

As long as I was with my family and we got to spend time together, I wouldn't mind it. For me, the gifts aren't what make Christmas special. Of course I love getting gifts. Who doesn't, right? What really makes Christmas special to me is sharing time with the people you love.
