Size Wise, How does the UK compare to the US?

I don't know if I'm just not typing in the right keywords or what's going on. I cannot find this information online. I actually can't really find the square miles of London (as a whole) either.
So I'm interested in knowing how the size of the UK compares to the US. Someone once told me that the UK is comparable to the size of Texas.
Anybody know if this is true or where I can find out?

If by England you mean the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, it's between Oregon and Idaho. (96,000 - 93,280 - 82,750 sq. mi. in land area.)
If by England you mean the island of Great Britain encompassing England, Scotland and Wales, then it's between Kansas and Minnesota. (81,820 - 80,820 - 79,620 sq. mi.)
If by England you mean the country of England alone, it's between Alabama and North Carolina (50,750 - 50,350 - 48,710 sq. mi.)

The whole of the UK would fit nicely into Lake Ontario. WE think Lake ontario is a small body of water. The Uk is even smaller. Texas is a Huge State. I live in South Texas in the winter and it takes 2 days to drive out of Texas. And thats on the thruway too.

According to WorldAtlas.com, I didn't compare all states but the closest I could find in size in a pinch was Oregon.
United Kingdom, 94,525 sq miles
Oregon, 98,380 sq miles
Texas 268,484 sq miles
