with your current situation in life, can you say you are successful or you became successful.
well it doesnt matter if our definition of success differs, just as you know you really did achieve something that made you feel successful is enough.
so are you successful?

Today I definitely feel successful.
It's been a positive, productive and joyous day, and I couldn't be happier or more content -
that to me is my success.
I have stayed true to myself, achieved my goals of the day and helped others.
=D
