"**** off and go home!*

Australia

I saw a sticker on the back of a persons car saying f*** off and go home!. I was horribly offended. I am an Aussie, been here for years, yet I dont understand why someone would say that. I can kind of understand the lower socioeconomic panic, they are going to take our jobs, uni places, whatever, but Australia, particually western australia, is going through an economic boom at the moment so this cant even excuse that behaviour. What do you think?

If we all go back where we came from no one would be left as most of us came from some other country 2, 20 or 200 years ago. If we ask the true Australians what they think we should all pack and live today as they lost everything when we came. I contribute to Australia, I obey the laws, respect everyone, respect the coulture, pay my tax and love this red continent of ours that we call home.

True. no offence but white people can really call europe home. Whites dont own america the red-indians do whites dont own australia the aboroginies do. so i think the whole "go to your own country" thing is rather ironic. I'm black and ive got nothing against the white people. no matter how crude they were in the european revolution, i guess without it we wouldnt have the united states as it is. devoloped and highly successful. however those skinheads (who are usually poor rednecks)makes me mad. sorry for going off topic but how can skinheads call themselves nazis when the americans fought aginst them. is this the way they respect thier granfathers for fighting against the nazis? besides one german friend of mine said that according to them nazis are people with blue eyes and who are stickly german. PEACE OUT!

well we have laws to say how long you need to be here to become as aussie. I was talking about recent history so its not the same when you say 40000 years and 200

I don't know if this is happening in your country, but in Hawaii those with less than 50% Hawaiians are inllegable to benefits. You must have 50% to qualify for Homestead land, ($1.00 a years for 100 yrs.) This has pit brother against brother, and there are many people who don't have the "Koko" the hawaiian Blood, but have been born here for generations, and they are told go back to their country, which is Hawaii, how can you go back to your home?

How do you determine who has half blood or not? We have a similar thing here in Australia, if you happen to be of torres straight islander or aboriginal descent, you can claim certain benefits (REALLY useful if you happen to be going to uni). But really anyone can come up and claim it, its very hard to confirm.

We have alot of Mormons here in Hawaii, one of their things is geneology, they look into birth certificate and Marriage certificate and find out who is full Hawaiian or Half Hawaiian or Quarter Hawaiian, in order to go to Kamehameha school, created by Princess Pauahi Bishop you must have Hawaiian Blood, as long as you have birth certificate you can prove you have Hawaiian, you can go to the school. Now the problem with Homestead land is that many people have married other races, so the amount of Hawaiian Blood is less than 1/4. My mother-law only has a quarter Hawaiian, so my kids have less than her. This is a problem if some one has 50% Hawaiian he can get Homestead land, all others can not, the only thing they can get is scholarships for Hawaiians, the enrollment for Young people in College is very low, my daughter is one of the few that graduated from University of Hawaii. She plans to get her Master's. There are scholarships for her, as a Hawaiian.
