If so do you play OSI or a freeshard? I played OSI for 5 years but have been playing freeshards for the past year.

As a freeshard admin, I can tell you that most of us welcome international players with open arms. However, it's all for fun, not for profit!

Hi! I played OSI until shortly after Age of Shadows, at that point I quit for a while, mainly due to personal reasons, but when I came back, I was a bit short of money, so I looked into Free Shards, and since then I've never looked back! The Freeshard community is a lot better integrated with the shard's staff and developers than OSI shards, mainly because freeshards exist for fun rather than profit. For just over a year, I've also been a developer on a freeshard, Raistlin's World, so I've been able to make things happen in UO that I always dreamed of, and rectify some of OSI's more drastic mistakes into the bargain. I don't think I'd ever go back to OSI now, the censorship of discussion, money-making angles in-game, and general attitude is not for me, I'd rather have the sense of fair play and cooperation that you get on Free Shards. By the way, if you want to give us some love, our shard is at: http://www.raistlinsworld.com
