A quick update on my moms health.

I posted a discussion about my sister saying something very ignorant about my mother when she was not in the best health. So I wanted to let everyone know that I did confront my sister for what she said. For those of you who did not read my other post. My mother could have been having a stroke and all my sister could say was I hope I'm in the will. She said she was sorry for hurting my feelings she did not mean to hurt me and she was only joking. I told her that I did not think it was funny. She said sorry again and I have forgiven my sister. Now to let you know my mother was not having a stroke like her friend thought. The Dr's at the ER found out she was having seizures due to a medication she was taking.

I hope your mother is off the meds and is doing better. I'll be thinking about it from time to time so keep posting. I do think your sister made a very sick remark. I'm beside myself on that one.

I am glad to hear the your mother is doing fine now. I do know how it is of having a sister that says stupid things like that about your mother, My sister and me were and still are because of something she said about our mom and I have only talked to my sister one time since I was 17 and that is when she came home when my mom passed away and now it has been 10 years since I have talked to my sister last. my prayers are with you and your family as you mothers health will inprove. HUgs!

i think that was very unfeeling and unkind a comment from your sister! even if said that jokingly it doesn't make it nice. i am happy that your mother didn't have anything very serious!

I just saw the first discussion and was going to respond to it but then I saw your updated version and decided to respond to it. I'm so glad to hear you confronted your sister because holding things inside can do a lot of damage. Even though she was "joking" it still was not funny and she has a warped since of humor. Maybe she'll think about what she says the next time she gets a similar phone call. I hope your mother gets better and you ALL renew your relationship with each other because life is too short and there are too many regrets in this world. Good luck.

Oh taht's a bad joke if it is the case maybe. Me,too will get hurt if someone make fun of my mom's condition- most especially if she is my sister who did it. Good thing she said sorry already. She should learn her lesson. Our mom is precious to us, we should give the the right love and respect they deserve. And not making fun out of them especially of their condition when they got sick. I wish well for your mom. It is hard when your parents are sick. It is really worrysome. I understand jow you feel. Hope, you are taking it lighter now. And don't forget to pray always.

Dishonoring our parents have consequences because God wants us to honor our parents. Whatever your sister did to your mom are recorded and someday she will suffer the consequence and she'll be sorry. Continue supporting your mom and always be at her side because it will keep her strength. God will bless you because you are a good daughter to her.

I'm glad your mom's ok and your sister didn't mean what she said. I still think it sounds like she harbors a little resentment towards your mom though... I know I'm slower to forgive my mom than other people. I guess I just expect more out of her.
