Well you might be a red neck if...But years ago I seen my Daddy use an old coat hanger to temporarily tie up a muffler that had fallen of a car, also I have a plate hanger that my Grandmother made out of a wire coat hanger. I think people use to be more creative with what they had around the house.

The shoe hanger is a great idea. Now I just need a bigger closet to hang all my shoes up in. Can we think of a way that coat hangers can build me a new closet?
I love tips for finding new uses for things. Thanks.

...you might be a redneck.. if you love bread twists and duct tape..
- I've used hangers to creatively hang things when there's a lack of closets or shelves.. I remember the muffler use! I've seen a stretched out wire hanger used to try to unclog a drain pipe. I'm thinking it may not have worked the best.. but who knows? If you're patient you could make a wreath out of it, and the hangy deal would be right there at the top!
- But mostly there's a few things I hate throwing away, even though I do, but it always seems I should be able to use them for something.. the rings that come off the milk jugs.. small tin cans.. the list is endless..
