Anyone had the experience of breeding dogs

I recently had the experience of looking after 9 puppies that my female dog had.
It wasn't a planned pregnancy, but nevertheless a really good experience for me and my female dog I imagine.
Has anyone ever had the experience of either your dog(s) having puppies or of breeding dogs in general.
I would love to know your experience of this.

Wow! Nine puppies... thats a lot. What bred are thye puppies? Did you find good homes for them all?
I have never bred my dogs, however, I have a mini fopx terrir that I am seriously considering breeding. She is a healthy, four year old. The Father I have in mind is a shitzu. Apparently the puppies would be called Fo-shu.

My ex-husbands mom is a dog breeder. She bred dobermans for many years and she ran a successful business. She now does smaller dogs because of her health the bigger dogs kind of beat her up! It is a satisfying experience, she loves animals and for animal lovers to see the birth of puppies and helping your pet care and help them does good for your heart. I helped her many times and it always made me feel good.

Yes it is good for the heart and sole, I am an avid animal lover and to actually see this experience sort of blew me away.
We kept 1 of the puppies as we have the mother and father, I thought it would be good for the parent dogs to see 1 of the puppies grow up.
We got really good homes for the other 8 which I was more than pleased about.

Hello jan135. My father and my sister breeds dogs and sells them. My father has been doing this for years and my sister liked the idea of breeding dogs as well so, she decided to breed her own dogs. My father breeds beagles and basset hounds. While my sister breeds different kinds of dogs. To small breeds to medium breeds.
