EVERYONE OF US CREATE GARBAGE EVERYDAY. WHERE DOES IT GO IN YOUR PLACE?

In Bangalore, they put the garbage without sorting in Land Fill areas. Earlier within 15 kms from city, LANDFILL areas could be found. Now they have to go 50 kms away from city.
In your place:
1. What arrangements are made for garbage disposal
2. Do they separate the garbage materials?
3. Is the garbage destoryed without creating pollution
4. Any economic advantage in destorying the garbage?

It is my native place called Mangalore where there is a lot of problem for disposal of garbage. It is very difficult to dispose the garbage, particularly that of plastic items. People keep throwing those stuff into public gutters. Animals eat these plastic stuff and get into lot of problems. The civic authorities should make necessary arrangement for collection of garbage and disposal of the same.
