School for parents!!

I am a mam and grandmama,age 52,from Croatia/Europe/.I am mother of 5 girls/27,25,25,23 and 21 years old/-Two grandchildren age 8 and 7!!Whole that time I have a question for myself:what i have to do to be a good and friendly mother to my children.What can I do on myself to be a mother and friend in all situation/good or bed/!!You have a school for cooking,writing, singing and etc. but there no school for parents!!!All as we want to know,and answers for all our question we can find only on TV,when Oprah have talk show or in a books!!!We need school for young parents!!!

I think there have a class for young parents to know the way to look after the small baby. If have meet some problems, we can ask the opinion and help from our parents. That will be good when there have an eldest people at our home which they give us the best opinions.
Nowadays, my country young parent will let their parent to look after their baby.

Hello, I hope that you will ask your parents for a advice!!Young parents are not so happy when older try to give some advice!!I am grandmama and I am with my grandchildren whole days!That is a reason way I have so many questions about raising children!!It is easy when they are a little baby,but when they came in some ages like 13 or 14 the problems Start!!regards Silvana

Do what your parents did. If what they worked made you a success, then that is what you have to do. Most of what you learn is by watching what your mother and father did and emulating them. You then discard what they did wrong. You are then left with how to be a good parent. It is as simple as that. You let them know that you are in charge, as they will test you and try to get you to do what they want, but you cannot be too strict and you cannot be too lenient. That is what it is all about.

I think the best school to become a parent is the home and the best teacher are the parents... children immitate what they see in their parents so mothers and fathers should show their children what good parents are made of... aside for that being a parent is like second nature to humans... and the parents that we have are the ones who nurture that...
